View Full Version : Rising Darkness

Dusk
January 17th, 2006, 09:36 PM
There exists darkness in the heart of every person. Sometimes that darkness becomes too much for them to handle and it takes over. It wasn’t always like that however…there used to be a strong light that overwhelmed the darkness…but times change and so do people…
This darkness spawns creatures of great destruction. They are fueled by the hatred and spite of their creators. Mindless and empty, they wouldn’t hesitate to kill even the most innocent of child…
But there are still those few…the ones blessed by the last of the light, those who alone have the power to dispel this darkness…to resurrect the very light that gave them power.

Well, this gives you a modest view of the plot. Just something that popped into my head. I think it might be similar to an RP I did once *ponders*…Anyways, You get the idea. You get to play one of those “Chosen few” who gets to save the world n’ stuff...or destroy it, depending on your views. Not too extraordinary but it’ll give you a chance to test your creativity.
Okay just to get this out of the way, there aren’t any elves, half cat people, or anything else along those lines… This is supposed to be a world very similar, if not identical to our own. Normally I don’t see elves running around, but by all means if you prove me wrong, have fun elfing all you want. So pretty much only humans or dark creatures but I don’t think you want to be one of those…
If you’re a human, then you are one of the ‘chosen ones’. You don’t have to know it at first but you are one. If you aren’t, then you pretty much die after the beginning. Your power comes from your will to fight for what you believe in, be it the light…or dark (they weren’t very specific when they gave out the powers neh?). Your power can be in whatever form you think fits your character the most, as long as you don’t go over board.
The “Dark Creatures” are created by the black emotions of humans. Normally people can get their anger out though yelling at no one or punching innocent pillows. Now however, their anger, hate, and jealousy are beginning to be too much for them to handle. Most people die once they’re emotions manifest themselves into reality, but others manage to survive and even control their evil little creations. They focus their emotions to bring them to life. However, this power comes at a price. With every creature they create, they begin to lose more and more of themselves until they join the very creatures they created. If you decide to be one of these dark summoners, please don’t have your character be a lovey-dovey kind of person. They should be somewhat emotionless since they usually change all their emotions into evil man-eating monsters. That doesn’t mean that they should be “OMG the world hates me, I think I’m gonna go kill myself” characters.
Moving on! Post your character like so…
Name:
Age:
Appearance: (hair, eyes, build, clothing, ect you can use a picture drawn by someone else as reference but give credit where due)
Weapon(s): (They can be modern (ie guns) or things like swords, bow and arrows, spears, ect. Just know that projectile weapons (like guns and bows) have disadvantages against most of the dark creatures unless specially made)
Power: (whatever their power is like healing, fire, wind, ect. If someone who posted before you already has the power you want, please post a different one or work it out amongst yourselves. It would be boring if like 3 people all had water as their power. You can also post other strengths that they have here (like speed, strength, endurance, ect)
Weakness: (you MUST put something here and it can’t be something like “his past” it has to be something like the opposite kind of magic (ie fire’s weakness is water) or something like having slow speed or low strength.)
Bio: (talk a little bit about your character. Please don’t put “doesn’t remember” or “Doesn’t like to talk about it” because then we really don’t know what your character is like or why they do the things they do. I don’t care if you don’t put that much because it’s fun to keep secrets about your character. You can put their personality here too)
Other: (Anything else that you think is important for us to know about your character)

Okay, now for the fun part! The rules!
1. All the rules posted in the rules topic
2. Romance aloud but nothing too vivid. If you really like the other person that much, you can make out with them on your own time.
3. 3 sentence min. If you and someone are both on and having a conversation, then that’s understandable but please try to post as much as you can. It makes it more interesting that way.
4. If you and someone else make like 2 pages by yourselves, try to wait for everyone to catch up. That way we don’t have to deal with people saying “WTF!? where r w3?”
5. Don’t kill other people’s characters with out their permission.
6. Have fun! Don’t take this RP too serious or you’ll ruin it XP
All right, I’ll post my character and start us off. If you have any questions or suggestions, PM me. Now onto the RP!

Name: Ambience (I might use Ambi if I get tired of writing it out…)
Age: 15~16
Appearance:
Weapons: Two elegant rapiers like swords and a plain handgun that he has just in case.
Power: Light energy; uses it to destroy dark creatures. Has good speed and dex. Can’t use his magic to heal.
Weakness: Dark energy; while he can destroy it, it takes a toll on him after a while.
Bio: One of his friends turned into a dark sorcerer/ summoner. He only fights because he wants to bring his friend back to the way he was. He’s usually reluctant to fight and only attacks if attacked. He’s a pretty quiet person but talks freely around people he knows. He’s fiercely loyal to his friends and won’t hesitate to risk his life for them. He’s a natural leader but doesn’t mind following orders from someone he trusts.
Other: none
I’m going to make Ambi’s friend one of our main enemies. If you have an idea for someone you want to be a bad guy, PM me. If you want to be a bad buy then by all means, have fun being evil! It'll make the rp more interesting!

---------------------------------------------

Ambience dived behind a wall to avoid being hit. He rolled up to his feet and was on the move again. He didn’t have time to catch his breath because They were chasing him. They unfortunately were Dark Creatures. Whether they were just remnants of long destroyed humans or servants of one who was very much alive, he didn’t know, nor did he care. Ambience had already taken out two of them, leaving only two left. Luckily, They usually traveled only in groups of four or five.
He rounded a corner and flattened against the wall of a ruined building. Just like the rest of the houses in the city, it had long been abandoned. Its occupants were either dead or on the run, trying to find shelter from the looming darkness. Ambience slowed his breathing back to normal and chanced a glance around the wall. He didn’t see anything but he didn’t expect to. At night, it was almost impossible to see Them. He waited for what seemed like hours and began to feel himself relax. He shook of the feeling and got into a different position to prevent himself from getting to comfortable. If he wasn’t alert, then he would soon be dead.
He was just beginning to think that he had lost them when he heard heavy footsteps behind him. He turned quickly and saw a flicker of movement to his right. He instinctively ducked away, which saved his life. A moment later, he felt burning pain erupt in his should. Had his head been there, he would have been killed. He almost fainted when he felt the weapon being pulled back. He stumbled forward for a second then regained his footing. He spun around, putting the building at his back, and drew his swords, one in each hand. They were long and slender, good for quick attacking. He resisted the urge to clutch his shoulder and glanced around, looking for the source of the attack.
For a moment nothing happened, then he saw them emerge from the thin layer of fog that had descended. One of them was tall and thin while the other was shorter and heavier in build. The tall one paused only for a moment the rushed at him. Ambience waited until the last possible moment to dodge aside. The monster’s momentum caused him to continue forward and into the wall. Ambience to the opportunity to attack. He turned and slashed his right sword deep into the creature’s back. It let out an earthly scream and tried to attack. The sword pinned it down however so it couldn’t move far enough to do any harm.
Ambience jumped back and raised his free hand. He closed his eyes and began to call upon his power. Bright light began to form in his open hand. If anyone else had been around, the sheer brightness of the light would cause the to go blind.
“Return to the light…”
The wounded creature screeched in rage as the light engulfed it. When the brilliant orb disappeared a moment later, the creature was nowhere to be seen. Ambience sighed in relief but suddenly remembered that the other creature was still there. He realized his mistake a little too late however and paid for it.
As he turned to look for it, the creature slammed its large fists into him. Ambience was sent flying into the air and slammed into the wall he had used for protection earlier. His vision blurred but he shook himself back to reality. In time to dodge aside to avoid another attack.
He rolled over in an attempt to pick up his dropped sword. The monster, however, beat him to it and knocked it away. It reached down and lifted him up with his giant hands. It laughed stupidly and began to squeeze Ambience’s body tightly. Ambi coughed and struggled to get away for a moment the let his body fall loose. He slowly reached into his pocket and took something out. His hand began to glow around it as he added his power to it.
He suddenly brought his feet up to the creature’s stomach and kicked out hard. The creature, who had thought that he was almost dead before that, was taken by surprised and dropped him. On the way down and landed on his feet, stumbling a few feet back before regain his balance. He raised the thing that he had powered up earlier and held it shakily in his tired hand. It would have seemed like an ordinary gun had it not been shining with the same blinding light Ambience had used before. He slowly raised it up and to aim at the monster. The creature seemed to sense its impending doom because it began to run at him, screeching and wailing in it’s high pitched voice. Ambience waited until the last possible moment to fire.
“Return to the light!”
He fired it with deadly accuracy, the glow that had surrounded the gun leavening with the bullet. The glowing projectile slammed into the creature, creating an enormous blast of light that engulfed both the monster and Ambience. When the glow disappeared, the creature had disappeared.
Ambience stood for a moment, looking up at the dark, cloud covered sky. He sighed and moved up against the wall as the rain began to fall. He felt the pain of his shoulder come back and winced. He slowly sat down, felling slightly dizzy as he did so. He heard the sound of feet approaching and tensed. After a moment he realized that they were human and relaxed. He hoped that it would be someone he knew and not another enemy.

((ehehe....ya I have alot of time on my hands. You don't have to post that much...I just got bored at school so I wrote this^_^; oh and there are normal cities, ones that have actual people in them and aren't being terroized by evil monsters. Ambiences just happens to be in a bad town....if you want to be the person running up, that's fine by me.))

This is my first time ever playing a forum RP, so I probably won't be too good. So if I do something wrong/stupid just tell me.

Name:Mochy
Age: 20
Appearance: Average build, Always wears a short sleeve shirt, and carries a pocket watch
Weapon(s): Steel Toed shoes, and leather greaves, as well as an antique dagger for emergencies
Power: Excellent speed from his strong legs
Weakness: Upper body strenth is lacking, and he often has trouble fighting where there is little room to manuver
Bio: He was orphaned at a young age, but adopted by a farming couple. two years ago, Dark Creatures attacked the farm while he was away, and he was once again alone. He still lives on the families farm that he has inherited. Ever since then he has had a hard time getting close to people for fear that he would lose them as well. He has devoted his life to destroying the Dark Creatures so nobody else has to go through what he has.
Other:

Mochy woke up, ate breakfast, and began his daily walk to town. He always walked rain or shine, and today seemed like it would be the former. Not normally a paranoid person, Mochy couldn't help but feel that something was amiss. These feelings were strenghthened when he saw a blinding flash of light coming from the town. Instantly, he began to run towards it fully aware that the Dark Creatures had to be involved. He once again felt uneasy, as he entered the town, since he could not hear anything that would warrant that light, or the Dark Creatures. As he turned a corner, he saw a man bloodied and sitting against a wall. Not knowing whether he was alive or dead, Mochy rushed to his aid.

((Yay! someone finally joined! i relized when I read over my post that I forgot to do his apperance>.> <.< I was going to post a link but I forgot. Ambience looked up when he heard the feet apporaching. For a moment his vision blured so he couldn't see anything. Then it cleard and he saw a young man standing next to him. Ambience smiled weakly. "I hope your one of the good guys..."

He rose slowly to his feet again, using the wall for support. He turned to the new person. "I think we should get out of here...I killed the ones that were chasing me but who knows if more'll come. This place is probably crawling with them..." He looked around wearily before turning back to Mochy. "I'm Ambience by the way." He began to walk in the direction he had first come from but stumbled and had to lean against the wall for support again. He sighed in annoyance. "Of all the times..."

As if to futher annoy him, the rain seemed to come down even harder. He looked over at Mochy. "We'll probably have to wait here until the storm passes and hope no other creatures show up. Well, at least I will...You can go if you want. I'm sure you probably have business of your own to attend to..." He moved over to the door of the house and after a few moments had it open. He steped inside and draged a chair over to one of the windows to keep watch.

OOC: Heh, god this post is gonna suck. Anyway, you were thinking of Kingdom Hearts, weren't you? XD

Hmm, how to introduce... T_T

Name: Daisuke Uta
Age: 16
Appearance: Concept (http://www.deviantart.com/view/27637189/) http://img43.imageshack.us/img43/6805/daisuke11jt.th.jpg (http://img43.imageshack.us/my.php?image=daisuke11jt.jpg) Average build,
Power: He goes into a berserk state when his resolve to win gets really high. He has the power of wind, but he doesn't really know it. He uses it randomly.
Weakness: When he's in his berserk state, he often loses his guard, cause his only intent is to win, and he isn't focused on anything else. And when he's in a berserked state, the darkness in his heart grows, making him on the borderline of becoming a "Dark Creature". He's also pretty clumsy.
Bio: Uhhh, this applies to other RPs. The second son of King Alcinious. When he heard his father discussing plans with Rakami (bad guy; this can change in RPs), he quickly fled the castle. He is rather skilled when using his family blade, the Alcanar, but he still has a lot to learn. He is now adventuring to find people who are willing to fight against Rakami.
-------------

Unaware of the rain suddenly starting to pour, Daisuke continued to run from the "creatures".

"Uwaaah! What are these things?! And why are they chasing me?"

Carrying his blade, the Alcanar, the weight eventually got to him, and he tripped. Landing straight into some mud (or whatever can be on the street). The dark creatures lunged at Daisuke and in panic, Daisuke swung his sword quickly, vanquishing one of them. However, 2 more remained and seemed to be even more frightening than before, and they started to chase Daisuke even further.

"Why is this happening to me?!" he screams, as he picks up his blade and runs further til he sees an open door.

He slides in the rain and quickly jumps inside the house.

"Can anyone help me!?" he exclaims, frantic at the door, panting, out of breath. Forgetting about the creatures chasing him, one of them shoves him in the back and Daisuke gets slammed.

OOC: >.> I'll change stuff later. Woo, 10 hours in Ant Hell in RO without changing maps!

OOC: lol....Now that you mention it it does sound vaugely like Kingdom hearts>.> <.< 'King Alcinious' hm...that sounds familiar neh? XD

Ambience was shaken from his half-asleep state when he heard yelling followed by something slamming into the door. He poped his head out of the window for a moment and saw someone being attacked by more monsters. He growled in frustration. No matter how many were killed, there always seemed to be more to take their place.

He jumped out the window and slammed into the closest creature. He moved over to the person who had been fighting them. "You better be okay cause I'm not in the mood to save someone who's dead..."

He went to draw his weapons and found that the one he had droped earlier was still laying on the ground some ways away. He cursed and dashed over to retrive it. once he had both in hand he moved back to his postion in front of the house. He began to attack the one nearest to him. They weren't very fast but they were big and tough. The two of them went back and forth exchangeing blows until Ambience finally landed a blow. He slashed deep into the creature's side and jumped back, panting. His hurt arm was close to usless by now and was hurting very badly. Ambience droped to one knee, holding his shoulder. The monster, seeing this weakness began to attack. When he got in range Ambience weakly lifted his hand and shot a ray of light at him. The monster didn't die as fast as the others had because Ambience was weak and didn't have enough strength to unleash an attack like before. "Return to the light...." The monster finally disapeared and ambience feel forward onto the ground. He turned his head to look at Daisuke and said, "Your turn..." before quickly falling unconsious.

Mochy began to drag the injured back into the shelter when he heard a large creature approaching at a fast rate. By the time he turned to see, the creature was bearing down on him. He jumped aside to dodge the first attack and burried his foot into the creature's side. The creature screamed in agony and slammed Mochy hard in the stomach. Lying on the ground gasping for air, Mochy scrambled to unsheath his dagger and managed to drive it into the creature as it struck again. Mochy struck once more with the dagger, and the creature collapsed to the ground and vanished. "Seems like these are appearing more frequently." said Mochy, as he returned to bringing Ambience and Daisuke back into the house.

Name : Telius Kahertas
Age : 38
Appearance : Telius is tall, a hand taller than most men, and has a swimmer's build. He keeps his black, wavy hair should long, allowing it to spill on his face, hiding his icy blue stare. He usually wears a pair of jeans, and a white shirt under a dark polo. He has a thin goatee, well trimmed, covering an old scar that runs from his right nostril to his chin.
Weapon(s) : He wields an oak, steel tipped quarterstaff strapped on his back, several daggers hidden on key points of his body and steel knuckles.
Power : He is very proficient in healing, wether he is using his powers or common herbs. He has great strength and balance, is nimble and agile, but lacks speed.
Weakness : He cannot heal himself with his powers and is afraid of drowning.
Bio : Telius comes from a middle class family. He lived his childhood without any knowledge of Dark Creatures, and thus remembers a time where you could stroll at nighttime without looking behind yourself. He was a honors student throughout his childhood and obtained a major in Software Engineering at the age of 23. As the troubles raised by Dark Creatures were starting to develop, he became interested by these from a physics point of view, trying to determine a relationship between these creatures and their creators through quantum physics. He has been researching about the awakening of the "Darkness" for 14 years now, recently publishing a paper. Unfortunately, the claim has been made, based on Heisenberg's Uncertaintly Principle, that quantum phenomena have no definite values until they are observed, with the implication that the act of observation creates those values. This, ruining his research, he sets back out to find an answer to his problem.
Other : He hates fighting and will usually run away if he's by himself. Otherwise, he'll give everything he has to protect others. He's the archetype of the paladin :D

"It is not the act of observation, nor the cognizance of consciousness, which collapses quantum states (as in the collapsing of a light wave into a photon). It is the simple, mindless interactions of matter and energy. Quanta act this way not by our permission, but because that is what they are: they are things whose nature is to travel as waves but be absorbed as particles, to have no fixed states until an appropriate interaction occurs. Throughout space and time, that is what they are doing, quantum states and probability waves collapsing willy-nilly every time energy is exchanged. They behave no differently when we observe them doing so, or when we don't. "

Sighing, Telius closed the small, leather-bound book, letting it rest in his lap. He closed his eyes, trying to find out where he had gone wrong. Everything worked, every principle was right, every calculation was without mistake. Yet there it was, this new "Principle", countering everything he'd ever believed about these Dark Creatures.

He stood up, picking up a glass half-full of brandy in one, fluid motion, and he walked toward the Bay. Located in the research hall of the Physics and Chemistry department, the Bay was a large, nanoglass window. Thus it had no reflection, was six times stronger than titanium and weighted less than a feather. He had designed the Bay after the discovery of nanotubes, small tubes made of coalesced atoms, used as a replacement to transistors. Either way, the clear view of the ocean always calmed him and gave him more insight.

"This isn't going to help me in anyway..." he mumbled to himself, walking back to his apartment, located right by the Bay, just outside Hall E-23.

Leaving the door open, he stepped in, grabbed long, woolen trench coat and strapped his quarterstaff on his back. The staff itself was made from Oak and had been carved straight, without any embroidery of any sort. It had steel, clouted tips. Although seemingly fragile, its core was actually made from nanoglass, which made the whole stronger and lighter.

Lost in thought, Telius barely realized he had exited his department and was unconsciouly heading toward the bus stop.

Name:Damon
Age: 21
Appearance: Slim build, sort of has like a deadly assasin-type look. Bandages are worn around him, which make him look like a mummy. Years of pain and hurt have caused him to carve symbolic markings into his upper body. They shimmer with a deadly orange-red glow (xDD stoled off prince of persia).
Weapon(s): He holds a dagger as his first weapon for stealthy, quick killing, and a katana as his second weapon. Just in case of a duel.
Power: Darkness, he casts spells and is quick on his feet.
Weakness: Light/healing techniques caste upon him will make him faint. his legs are weak.
Bio: His parents had abused him his whole life until he turned 9, when his anger grew so over-whelmingly uncontrollable that he lashed out at his parents and killed them with his newly anger-summoned beast.

The church bells rang as the wails of women and children came from their burning houses. Two of their children had pelted him with rocks, and so they all must pay. They were all paying with their lives, just like anyone who crossed his path. A small boy ran from inside his house to shelter himself from the flames. Damon saw this and caught the boy and ruthlessly threw him into a burning house. The boy yelled and yelled and Damon stood there a wide grin upon his face.

"The filth that runs upon this earth is really sickening. The boy would have never survived if he had run away from everything," said Damon as his creation surfaced from a house with a rag which seemed to be a womans aprin gnarled in its teeth.
With one last look at the town from the small hill to the north, Damon went on through the woods, looking for his next victims.

He didnt know when the killing began, but he knew that he enjoyed it. He enjoyed breaking a man in two with his own two hands. He loved the thrill of the expression in peoples eyes as they realized that he would give into their pleads of mercy. He relished the fact that he was feared and known far spread. Tales of his stature, his appearance and his disgraceful past were everywhere. But he didnt mind that. He would not stop the killing until someone was strong enough to call upon him for a real challange.

OOC: Heh...quite an evil little character you've created neh? XP

Ambi woke up slowly. The first thing that he noticed was that he was alive. The next was that he was in alot less pain then what he thought he would be in. While his powers couldn't heal quickly, they did sometimes make recovering from really bad injuries go alot faster. He rolled over and fell out of the bed, hitting the ground with a muffled 'oof'.

He cursed and clambered up to his feet. He glanced around the dimley lit room and found that the two people he had met earlier were still asleep. He went out side, making as little noise as possible so the others didn't wake up. It could be early morning, noon or night. you hardly ever knew anymore because the clouds were always shading the sky. He thought, however, that it must be sometime close to midday since a little amount of sunlight made it through to the ground. He sighed and retrived his swords which he had left outside during the last fight. He resheathed them(You can't see it in the picture, but he only has one sheath that he puts both of them in, side by side.) and glanced over his shoulder. He should tell them that he was leaveing but....he shruged. It's not like he really knew them. They probably had their own problems to deal with anyways, he didn't need to add to them.

He headed down the path that he had originally been following before he had been interupted by the monsters. It lead to the next town with luckily, wasn't too far away. He just hoped that the monsters hadn't gotten there yet. He might have a chance to warn them before the same thing happened to them that happened to this city. He hadn't gotten that far when he heared distant cries. He cursed under his breath and ran twords where he thought it came from. Twords the town.

When he finally got there he was panting hard and didn't notice the smoke until he got his breath back. His eyes widened as he saw the fires. Everything was up in flames. He saw a few people running away or trying to help love ones escape the burning infernos. He ran closer, looking for the cause of all the destruction. He ran up to a women who had two young boys at her side. He asked what was going on but she didn't reply. She only pointed fearfully to the middle of the city and ran i the other direction. Ambience ran in the direction she pointed, avoiding the fire as he went.

He reached what he thought was the center of the city. It was an empty courtyard anyways. He saw someone grab a running boy and throw him into one of the burning houses. Ambience stared in horror at what he saw. He drew one sword anf threw it at the man, missing ever so slightly. He ran closer to him, standing a few yards away. "He clenched his fist around his other sword, trying to keep his hands from shaking. "You demon....He was a kid....He couldn't even defend himself....If your lust for blood is so great, then fight me. Let's see how much you like it when it's your blood that spills...."

Damon turned slowly with a twisted-jovial expression on him. He looked at the ground to his left and saw a sword sticking out. He thought:
"I didnt even hear it coming at me!" He did not show his slight lapse in ego, but turned to the boy and his eyes widened.
"He threw that," he muttered to himself, "this might be an omen. Nah."

"YOU! KID!" he said looking at Ambience."You want my blood spilled? Alright, let's see how much blood you and I both loose!"

He rushed toward Ambi and at the last moment drew his dagger and jumped behind him, the dagger to Ambience's neck. "Speaking of blood." He smiled broadly.

OOC: Yay! finally a fun fight! hm...this would make a fun manga tehee....

Ambi's eyes widend as he felt the dagger pressing against his throat. This wasn't going to be a fight like the ones he was usually in. Istead of trying to moved forward around the blade, he slamed backwards into Damon, causeing him to stumble. He rolled away and quickly rose to his feet. He jumped backwards to put distance between them. He looked around the courtyard for a better position. Since all the buildings were on fire, he couldn't move back any farther without risking burns. There wasn't an easy way out of the arena now since the fires had grown to such great heights.

He turned his attention back to his opponent. "Why did you do this? These people haven't done anything. They've always been peaceful....and then you just show up and kill them all...."He moved slowly over to his other sword and yanked it out of the ground. He thought for a moment then sheathed it. Since there wasn't very much manuvering room, two swords would only slow him down. He looked back at Damon. "It's because of people like you that our world is dying..."

Mochy got up and noticed that ambience was not there. he went out side and saw footsteps in the mud. He couldn't leave Daisuke there alone still asleep in case more dark creatures came, but he was unsure of Ambience's condition to fight for himself as well. Hearing the sound of footsteps, he quickly turned to find a woman and her children clearly in a hurry and out of breathe. Mcohy asked what the problem was and why they were running, and she explained all about how her vilage was lit on fire and how someone was was trying to kill the vilagers as well. He asked her if she would look after Daisuke until he woke up, and Mochy took off toward her village.

Damon looked furious, though he quickly regained his cool. He saw the boy pick up and sheath one of his swords and smirked. There was fire all about them, the kid had no chance of escaping. He sheathed his dagger on his left side and got into a fighting stance.

"I hope you realize, that, after death all your anger and hate that you've felt throughout your life will fuel me in my campain for complete darkness. Oh and I wouldn't worry on checking on the two other villages sorrounding this one. They've all been incinerated just like this one will." He laughed aloud, his crazyness to be just heard over the cries.

"So come on, kid. I'll kill you with a fair fist fight." As he flexed in stance, the carved lines on his body burned more furiously. He began to make hand signals and leg movements with his body and ended up both legs shoulder width apart and both hands cupped.

"COME ON KID! LETS SEE HOW GOOD YOU DO AGAINST A TRUE DARK MASTER!"

Ambience ran at him bringing his sword down swiftly but Damon blocked the attack easily. "The only hate I've had is twords the Darkness."

He spun, bringing his sword whiping through the air. It would have gone into Damon's ribs, but he ducked away from the attack, rolling up to his feet a little ways away. "The only anger I've felt is at my own weakness..."

He rushed at Damon again, executing many attacks only to have each one turned aside by him. "The only sadness I have is for a person who turned into a monster like you!" He jumped back, landing lightly on his feet panting slightly from the fight. This fight wasn't going anywhere fast. He thought about using his light magic against him but he wasn't sure if he had enough power to finish him off in one blow. He gripped his sword tightly in his gloved hand. He could feel the effects of the fighting taking their toll. He was still tired from his fight the day before. He moved into a defensive stance, hoping that he might be able to counter any of the attacks that Damon threw at him.

"He just wont relent, this kid!" Damon thought to himself as Ambi's last futile attack was evaded. He went back into his fighting stance with his feet shoulder width and hands cupped at the belt. He began to mutter: "Apportez la mort, apportez la destruction, obscurité régnera. Apportez la mort, apportez la destruction, obscurité régnera. LES SEIGNEURS FONCÉS, ME PRÊTENT VOTRE PUISSANCE IMPITOYABLE !"

As he said this, his markings began to glow violently, turning from a light orange, to a terrible red. He opened his eyes to reveal that they were no longer the eyes of a man, but of a demon. No pupil nor iris held they're apperance. Only white. His voice grew deeper. "FEEL MY PAIN, FOOL!" He shouted. As he did, he uncupped his hands and moved his arms up at shoulder height, drew in a deep breath and with one final grin threw them outward at the kid. "DIE... HUMAN!"

Ambi's eyes widened in surprise and fear. He dived out of the way as Damon launched his attack. Now he didn't have a choice in the matter. If he didn't use his magic, he wouldn't have any hope of winning. He sheathed his other sword and moved back as far as he could so that he was only a few inches away from the fire.

He raised his right hand and closed his eyes. He blocked out the fire and destruction that lay around him. His thoughts were only of the light that he knew once existed. When his eyes snapped open, light had already begun to form in his hand. "Creature of darkness....the light shall be your downfall..." The light began to brighten to such an intensity that it made the fires around them look dull.

The light grew and spread outward from Ambi's hand, engulfing them both. Ambience closed his eyes as it happened. Suddenly, he felt himself being lifted up into the air and opened them He looked around but say only white and a figure floating someways off. He walked, or floated, over to the figure. it seemed to be the person he had been fighting only...different. He appeared to be asleep. Ambi placed a hand on his shoulder and he opened his eyes.

Suddenly they were back where they had been only moments before. The fires still bruned intensley around them and the didstant screams still sounded. Ambience looked over and Damon for a moment then fell forward onto the ground. He felt himself lasping into unconsious and cursed himself for being so weak.

"YOU STUPID KID! ARE YOU GOING TO BREAK SOMETHING ELSE! YOUR A FINANCIAL DISTURBANCE TO THIS FAMILY! YOU LITTLE BASTARD CLEAN THAT UP!" Damons father yelled. Damon took a kitchen knife and stuck it into his fathers' arm. His father yelped in pain and turned to Damon in utter disbeleif. "YOU IDIOT!" His dad took a knife and burried it into Damons arm as well carving out a distinctive "S" into it. After that, Damon jumped on his fathers' back and stuck the knife to the back of his neck. "DIE YOU ASSHOLE!"

"YOU RETARD! TURN OFF THAT LIGHT! DONT YOU SEE YOU'RE WASTING MORE ELECTRICITY." A slap hit Damon across the face. Damon, was now nine years old again facing his drunken mother as she slapped him. Hard. He turn his head toward and said ["MATRICE!" His mom burst into flames, her screeches loud and shrill. Pure hate was on the face of Damon. He was smiling. He saw his mother burn to ashes and laughed throughout the whole entire thing.

"But you have to realize... you have a path to choose, Damon, my boy. Stay true to the light and shall be fine." said the old man.
----

"I can make a choice. I can be... something I hate or something I want to be... will being good pay off in the end? Will having someone to be my friend pay off? Please...someone be my guide?
Someone help me..."

Damon followed the light and stepped on a balcony. He gazed out into a white city and saw....

Name : Genji
Age: 18

Appearance : A pretty tall person but not too tall (around 5 foot 10 inches). Well and evenly built. He's trained his body to be evenly strong since he's taken to fighting dark summoners. He's got pale white skin and very long silvery hair that goes midway down his back. He has very vivid crimson irises that make him easily recognizable. He wears a Akatsuki coat (long trench coat with kimon arms with red clouds with a white lining on a black background) from his favorite anime series Naruto. He finds it very convenient for his fighting style. Also he tends to wear lots of black. During the day he'll wear a very wide brimmed hat that keeps the sun out of his eyes but he rarely will travel during the day.

Weapon(s): Multiple Kunais concealed underneath his akatsuki coat. He also keeps a katana which is the last thing his family left him. The katana's name is Tsuki and is exceptionally strong and rich in tradition but has no real power except being sharp and sturdy. It's magical properties always have come from its weilder. Even if Genji found some uber powerful sword that could whipe out armies of dark summoners he'd never pass up using his family's blade.

Power : He is a natural at manipulating shadows to cut and throw. His true strenght comes from his power to send slicing ribbons at his enimies or enveloping them with shadows. If he weakens an enemy enough and envelopes them with shadows it will make him slightly stronger temporarily. However after using his powers a lot he'll become fatigued or sleep it all off later. He can see perfectly in the night and has a talent for using his shadows to run away or send others to a safer location. He's doubed this talent, shadow walking.

Weakness: Whereas he's a natural at using shadows he is practically useless during the day. If he's out in the sun he can't animate and manipulate shadows, quickly feels fatigued, and where he can see with perfect clarity at night he's practically blind during the day. He can't stand it when others die especially those who can't take up for themselves. He has a very dark sense of humor that puts others off. While he has normal physiology he is not too reseliant. For instance, he fights well given a few paces away from a target but if he's grappleing a hulking demon forget it. Not only that but he's not too knowledgeable on much else besides fighting and classic literature. He's great when it comes to fighting frenzied demons but throw a calculus problem at him and he'll nod and say, "what do you want me to do with this." Did I mention his weakness for any sort of noodle dish? Ramen, Lo mein, spaghetti, or any other pasta dish, it doesn't matter, he'll worship the ground you walk on if you can cook him a weeks worth of noodles.

Bio: It was in his family's blood to contribute to humanity. They decended from a samurai family and held onto their traditions secretly over a century. They believed that all people should cultivate light within themselves and help others. They had a stern sense of family tradition however when Genji started making the shadows on the wall dance to the children's music at 3 years old they decided they'd send him to a monestary. They sent him to live with his teacher Hakari, a buddhist monk. The monk didn't want Genji to feel unnormal and spent most of Genji childhood teaching him martial arts and calligraphy. When it came to swordplay he was a natural and would constantly find inventive ways to intertwine his shadowy talents into the fight. Whenever he would do so it'd earn him an evening of chores. At 12 this all changed when his parents visited for his birthday and the heirloom of Tsuki was revealed to him and that one day it would be his. This in and of itself wasn't so important but it happened to coincide with his first encounter with the dark creatures. A disgruntled monk plunged into the darkness and decided that all of humanity should die. He went one by one killing all in the monestary. His master and parents were making their way to escape when they were caught by the frenzied monk who proceded to kill his mentor and parents. Tears in his eyes Shinji grabbed Tsuki and used the shadows to restrain the monk and while the monk was surprised he decapitated him. Tears running down his face intermingling with the blood of Hakari, his parents, and this monk he ran from the monestary. For some reason he couldn't hate the monk who had destroyed all he knew. He felt sorry for him. Felt that the pain that others feel becomes everyone else's pain. He decided he would do his best to keep those who let their pain consume them not hurt others. He's made many friends and watched many die. As his powers developed his appearance has changed as well. His greatest wish is for a time when the bloodshed can end. He takes entertainment in television, literature, and of course eating noodles.

Finally here's my post!
Genji had notice the villiage go up in a sudden blaze. It was evident that there was a rather nasty dark summoner. He ran roof to roof to the center of town and noticed some kid fighting him already and exchanging words with the monster. What they were exactly he couldn't tell. He needed to come up with a strategy. Each of these emotionally warped monsters had a certain pattern of doing things. If they felt helpless they would dominate others around them, if they were depressed they'd tend to become excessively aggressive. Knowing the pattern of their conscious was to know the pattern in their fighting and vis versa. Unfortionately it didn't look like this one could be saved. When the light user got tired he'd make his entrance with a surprise attack. Afterall the beast looked a little distracted.

Suddenly he heard the Damon scream, "Now feel my pain FOOL." Then there was a bright bright flash of light. 'Damnit I hate bright lights,' Genji thought then he noticed the cause of the flash weaken and collapse. Quickly Genji ran to pick him up and get him to a safe place. It was unfitting for such a brave person to die here among the flames.

(My apologies for the post that didn't make sense my internet wasn't really refreshing for some reason. Won't happen again.)

Damon awoke, his eyes now a light shade of green. For the first time in years, the sky was not dark to him and he saw the clouds, the white clouds. The sun shone upon his eyes and he squinted.

"Ugh... why..." he sat up. His eyes followed his own mangled legs to Ambi's. "Oh.... god. What... what did I do?" Damon looked at his cut hands. He looked at his legs. They were in odd positions. his left leg was poiting out ward. It looked as if his kneecap was broke and the leg was bent backwards. His right leg was still there only flipped so the the soul of his foot was touching that same leg.

Damon's eyes widened. "OH MY GOD...W-what the hell?" Damon wanted to move his legs but couldnt. They were broken. He threw himself backward back unto the ground. "Damn.. good mess, Damon.."

An echo came to Damon: "You're from a line of healers. There are gods out there, call upon them to give you strength! SO YOU CAN HEAL YOURSELF AND MAYBE EVEN REPENT FOR YOUR SINS!"
Damon sat up again and looked around. "Great... now I'm hearing things."

"Boshfolly! I am not a figment of your imagination! Now, summon your healing powers just like you summoned that horrible beast...!" The voice was now high enough for Damon to know that it was not in his own head. "Fine... but if it doesnt work, I want you gone and leave me in peace." said Damon, looking at his legs. "Gods. Give me the healing power I need. Please, I need this. If not for me, then do it for the kid... I want to help him... please..." Nothing came.

"PLEASE! I REPENT FOR MY SINS! HELP ME SAVE THIS BOYS LIFE. I WILL LIVE THROUGH LIFE KNOWING I DID THIS TO PEOPLE! GODS... If you can hear this plea... help... me... please..." He began to cry. There was no hope for him or the kid. But... as he shed his tears, one fell on his right hand and it began to glow. He quickly took advantage of this and put it against his right leg. A strong light came from when he touched the leg. And then, it was over. He lifted his hands and the leg was straight. He touched the other leg and the same happened. "Thank you," he muttered.

After staring in awe, he stood up and shakily walked over to the kid. "Dear gods, give me the power to heal him. He is in the fight against the darkness... Give him strength." He awaited the boys response.

Ambience was surrounded by grey fog. He heard voices distantly but they were to far of to hear. He walked forward through the mist slowly. He felt himself weakening the more he walked and suddenly feel to his kness. He saw a pair of boots infront of him and he looked up. His expression was a mixture of fear and suprise. "Muna..."

The figure smirked and crouched down so his face was even with Ambi's. "Heh...pathetic...I was hoping that I would be the one to kill you but it seems like your going to die before I get the chance..." He stood up and dissapeared into the mist. Ambience called after him, "Wait! Muna!" He stood up and ran after him despite his pain. He had barely run 5 feet when the mist turned black and surrounded him pressing in hard against him like vines. He cried out and sturggled against it. "i can't die...not yet!" Suddenly from above a bright light began to form and the darkness around him dissapeared. The light enveloped him but it wasn't painful as the darkness had been. He relaxed and allowed the light to cascade around himself.

He slowly opened his eyes. He turned his head and saw Damon standing close nearby. He smiled weakly and turned his head back to look up at the sky. "The light shines deep in you too..." He sat up and found that, although he wasn't completely healed, he was much better off then he had been. He climbed to his feet and looked at the fires around him. He didn't look at Damon as he spoke. "I destroyed the darkness that controled you but...now you have to face everything you've done...that isn't somthing anyone can do easily..."He turned and said, in a happier tone, "But if you're strong enough to destroy the darkness that tried to get me, then you'll be fine!"

"Bout time you two woke up." Genji emerged from his hiding place amongst the shadows. It had been a lot of work using his powers to control the flames. He didn't know quite what was going on with Damon and hoped that he might've been turned for the better. Rarely had Genji seen anyone escape from the darkness that binds them. He looked at the wreckage everywhere and thought, "maybe the world would've been better if everyone could just keep their emotions to themselves."

He looked around then walked over to Ambience walked over to him and said quietly, "You said the name Muna while you were asleep. I wonder are we thinking of the same monstrous Muna who slaughtered the town of Faeree." Genji had fought him once and hoped maybe this stranger would give him some weakness to which he could stop him.

Damon glared but quickly turned around.
"Let's get things straight. I'm not on your side. I'm not on anybody's side. If you want to get in my way, I will kill you." Damon remembered all that had he had done. One place in particular that stood out was his hometown. He made sure that every parent was killed and that all the children had to watch. The only person that survived was his only friend Yuki. She survived by luck. On the next day, the news papers all had different descriptions of the "attacker" and none of them fit his. "Damn, this is bull****." he said.

Damon started walking, then stopped at the house were he had thrown the little boy.
"He couldn't have been younger than 6..." Damon said to himself..."
Suddenly, a scream came to him. Damon fell backward, his hands clapsed to his ears. He screamed in pain and squirmed furiously on the ground.

"PLEASE MISTER! I'LL DO ANYTHING, PLEASE DONT KILL MY MOMMY! NOOO!!" Damon let out a wail. His body was lifted three feet from the grown and underneath him, a circle formed. It held the formation he had around his upper body. It spun and started to release light into Damon. He curled up into a ball and with one final scream, he uncurled himself and a white cloud seemed to be removed from his chest. It was the boys' spirit.

I don't really care about where you got the weapon from, I just want you to post your FULL profile before you really get into the rp. It's nothing personal I just am very picky when it comes to rps....

Ambience ran over to Damon and raised his hand out to the spirit. He closed his eyes and felt the fear and hatred that radiated out of it. He opened his eyes sadly. "Your time here has ended...Be at peace..." Light surrounded the misty cloud and it slowly dissolved. Ambience crouched down next to Damon and placed a hand on his shoulder. "Damon...your past is your weakness right now. Don't try to push it away or forget it. You have to accept it or be consumed by it. The choice is yours. You can decided to go on your own if you wish...I won't stop you..."

He stood up and looked at Genji. His expression revealed nothing as he spoke to him. "The Muna I know is gone...replaced by the one you know. I fight only to return him back to the way he used to be. That's why I can't die yet...I came here hoping that the reason for the destruction of the villages around here was because of him...then I would've been able to talk to him. I'm not as strong as him...I know that now..."He looked up at the darkening sky. "But...my powers were given to me by the light...to destroy the darkness. Muna IS Darkness..."

He sighed and retrived his sword, sheathing it next to the other one. "I'm leaving...if you come with me, be warned that danger and destrution lies on the path I follow..." He turned his back on them, walking the way he had been heading before, not waiting to see if they would follow.

Genji smiled, "well wherever there's danger and destruction I wind up at anyway and I've always been fine." He caught up with Ambience and then put out his hand in a friendly 'hand shake' gesture then said, "I'm Genji by the way, what's yours?" Genji looked to both Ambience and Damon. Both intriguing curiosities. Those that Genji's known to return from darkness live on the edge of a knife. He's never seen one of them remain nuetral for long. Unfortunately, more often than not, he's witnessed their decent back into the darkness that has left this world scarred. Ambience, although he did not know his name, presented some interesting potential.

Anyway, Genji always liked a chance to make new friends. Its always good to have friends in lots of places. Why fight evil if you can't have fun while you're doing it. Pluss to be honest, Genji didn't like the idea of Muna running around wild. Last they met it was in the middle of a bright sunny day. Genji felt so weakened he could barely summon enough strength to run. Muna caught Genji and some of his best friends in an ambush. Several of them died and it was no thanks to Genji that the ones who escaped did. On a level Genji cursed that his powers weren’t enough to help them. He didn't like to dwell on such painful memories. However if he hung out with Ambience, although their powers were pretty much opposites, he could see some clear benefits. It's nigh impossible to catch Genji off guard when it’s dark. Plus if he trained with a light user it'd help him make that a less damning weakness.

Also Damon has some interesting potential. Genji had never seen one able to summon strength like that after a battle. The spirit and chaotic nature of Damon's powers were intriguing indeed.

Not only that, there was Muna. Although he appeared soulless when Genji last saw him there was something different about him. He couldn't place his finger on it but Muna seemed different from those that fully fall into darkness.

It was then Genji realized he wasn't paying attention and that could considered very rude; he then waited for the response of Ambience and Damon.

Ambience shoke genji's hand slightly unsure of himself. Normally he didn't meet people formally. It was usually a 5 minute relationship with someone else who was fighting the monsters. They'd fight then go their own seprarte ways. "I'm...Ambience..."(ugh...his name is so long...) He started down the road again. He didn't look at them as he spoke. "The next town isn't too far away...normally it wouldn't be far at all but we can't really go to the closest town..." He glanced quickly over at Damon. "We won't be able to stay long though...at least I won't. I only want to get more information about...Him...so I can stay on the right track." He looked up at the now dark sky and smiled slightly. Tonight was one of the rare nights that the clouds weren't covering the sky. He figured that it wouldn't be bad if they had to sleep outside.

"Nice to meet you Ambience." With a courteous bow he looked over in the other guy's direction. With no instantaneous answer Genji then thought of a good place to stay the night. It was simply too nice a night to go sleeping in some cooped up building. Genji ended up hiding out in those frequently enough and it didn't look like that would end too soon. A thought crossed his mind and he perked up instantly. "The cherry blossims are out! There's a park thats kinda on the way. It's about three quarters of the way to the next town. It has tons of Cherry blossims and plum trees its a really cool place to go. Its the best place to spend a nice evening like tonight. " Genji knew light users had a natural loathing of shadows and blackness so he wondered if he should suggest the short cut of shadow walking. 'Maybe another time,' Genji thought, 'its such a nice night for walking.'

"Also there's a friend of mine who stays there. She....um.....was kinda there when we last saw your friend Muna." The shame of Genji's failure passed over his face ever so briefly then he laughed and said, "pluss they give me free Ramen there."

He looked at Ambience and then into Damon's direction and asked in a nice voice, "so are we off?"

Damon stood up and firmly nodded to the decision. He picked up his sword and dagger and looked up. The stars... they were gleaming brightly. He wondered why he became so evil, and if he were going to return. Would light be his new guide? Or will that undying hate once again rule his heart and concience. "We'll see," he thought, "We'll see."

He tightend his bandages and took off in the direction of the other two. He kept himself behind them, but still close enough so he could hear them. "They... seem to trust me wholeheartedly... Is this just an act? Are they really terrified that I might become what I was again?" he paused. "They are. For I too am afraid. But when it comes down to it... I'll have to chose myself." He began walking, and with a hidden smile from the others kept up with their pace.

Genji took smooth long strides and whisked through the night wearing his long and baggy coat. The breeze gave him a wraithlike appearance as he "floated" down the street. When they were far enough down the main road to a dirt road that twisted into some woods. The dirt road twisted and turned and after an hour of getting lost in the thickets of these woods Genji smiled and said out loud, "Alright Tess, cut the crap you know its me, I've indulged you to the illusion long enough."

Suddenly the thick trees seemed to give way to a gorgeous garden. With nightime flowers already blooming and the daytime flowers fast asleep. This verdent garden seemed to have all kinds of flowers. They ranged from the soft violets and morning glories to roses to even flowers that bloomed specifically at night. Thats not all though, there were the trees. A variety of trees were blooming now in the spring and none were more glorious than the cherry blossoms. Their tiny pink petals danced in the evening breeze and were a scene straight from a landscape. The garden was lit only by the moon and a small shack was unobtrusively tucked to the corner of the garden.

A young girl about 16 years old was among the twisting paths of the garden and approached using crutches (for her foot was missing), and a velvet eye patch that covered her left eye. Even though the eye patch covered quite a bit of her face it couldn't hide al the deep scars across the left side of her face.

"Tess your illusions are as good as ever. I see you've kept up with your gardening. Really, really good work Tess. The way you protect this place is still as spectacular as ever." Genji smiled and dindn't quite know what to expect. Tess normally was one of the shy and timid people he knew. However since Muna whiped out over half their group and maimed all but Genji and Sapphire, she'd been a little different.

"Cut to the chase Genji, I don't have time or patience for your pathetic patronizing. Who the hell are these two and why'd you bring them here. It'd better be good. You know I don't like unexpected company, especially from you." Tess made a stern and penetrating face that betrayed the serene look she had just a moment ago. Genji knew she wasn't too mad at him. She'd just been a little hostile since she lost her foot, eye, and boyfriend to Muna's merciless onslaught. Failure cut deep at Genji but such downers are best left for another time.

"C'mon Tess. You know me better than to bring unworthy strangers to your grove without a good reason. We need a safe place to rest for tonight. Sure I know its a lame excuse, but I think these guys have potential," he then leaned close to Tess and said softly, "plus Ambience over there wants to learn all he can about Muna, old friend you see." He straightened up and said, "these two really could use a nice night's rest. I'll make it up to you somehow. I promise." Genji knew Tess may be a little harsh now and then but she's not hard hearted.

Tess then let her scowl drop, sighed, then replied, "Sure Genji you know I can't hold out on you. But you owe me. Come summer, you'd better be ready to trime the hedges, trim the bonsais, use ash to treat the pansies for slugs, harvest the apples from the apple orchert on the other side of the woods, pick stawberries, and"

Before Genji would let the list continue he interrupted, "Time well spent with an old friend." Genji took a breath of the sweet night air then said, "good to see you Tess, got any Ramen. I'm in the mood for ramen, or any past, you have some Lo Mein.... or Pasta, I'm in the mood for that too."

Tess chuckled, there were only two things that she could really count on Genji to do, one was to be utterly unpredictable, and two was the one exception to the first, he'd always want something some pasta or anything with noodles. Since any visit from Genji was unpredictable she always had something somewhere in case he were to drop by. At least he brought less trouble this time. The last time she saw him he was running from three summoned hell hounds of an infuriated person who fell into darkness in the middle of the afternoon. After using the shade of the trees to combat the attacker he made it to her garden before collapsing and muttering a "sorry for the trouble Tess." Sure Genji prevented a bunch of people from getting killed a town over, but she didn't want some crazed demon dog leaving huge tracks in the middle of her chrysanthemums. Why was he crazy enough to pull such a stunt off in the middle of the day anyway! She went out and started boiling water and mixing ingredients to make a meal for her not-so-unanticipated guests.

Genji loved Tess's place. She deserved to relax. Gardening always put her at ease. The kid of the old group she'd always be seen carrying around a bonsai or nurturing some odd plant back to health before leaving it with someone on their travels. Her predilection didn't really have anything to do with her power though. She was the most talented person he's seen who could form illusions. She could even alter the perception of a landscape fifteen square miles from two miles away. An absolute genius was what it boiled down to. Genji thought back to the day she lost everything that meant the most to her and just as he was about to get lost in sentimentality, he snapped too and remembered his company. Not at all tired he twisted a shadow from the ground into the air and animated it to be a dancing stick figure, then as the smell of Spaghetti wafted to his nose he asked, "So what do you guys think?"

Damon turn and walked out of the little area. He hated flowers, he had always hated them. Even before he was dark. Damon lifted an arm as a sign not to worry as the others were going to comment.
As he left the vicinity, he looked back.

At long last by himself, he was. He stopped and took off his bandages, revealing deep lacerations. He sighed. They had never healed, the cuts. Maybe his healing powers will now help him... He thought best just to leave them be and cover them... atleast for now.

He sat down, his back to a tree. He crossed his legs over, threw his hands behind his head and said goodnight.

By the way, this is a kick-booty picture Dusk drew for me as the representation of Damon. (Thanks again!)

OOC: heh....no probalmo...it was a quick drawing so it's not very good but...*shrugs*

Ambience looked around at the garden slowly. It was beautiful but...he couldn't get rid of the guilt he was feeling. Yet another person who had been affected by Muna...when it came down to it..."it's my fault too..." he murmered quietly so none could hear. He shook himself out of his glum mood. He couldn't let his feelings bother anyone else. He smiled and sat on the ground near Genji. "Sorry to put you and your friend through all this trouble...you really didn't have to do all of this...." He looked up at Tess as she came out with the food. "Thanks...I don't know how long it's been since I've had a meal like this..." He laughed and ate, his fears and guilt momentaraly dissapearing as he ate.

((meh..yet another short post...but as I don't really want to play out Tess, since she's not my chara, I'll wait until Itachi posts to do anything else...))

Tess served the food, gave a little smirk, and then leaned over to Genji, "while its still twilight I have a warm up for you just outside." She hobbled on her crutch and pointed toward in the southeast into the woods. "You're friend went that way," She turned and pointed North, "I have two of them coming in there. I could keep them lost in there until they get bored. But damn it I'm having you pay me for the food this time Genji!" '

'Where does she get the energy to yell so early in the morning,' Genji instantaneously thought. Tess's uncanny ability to detect enemies is what Genji liked most about Tess. She's a natural telepath, which was why she was so good with illusions. She could sense any being within a radius and then send the right telepathic messages to alter their perception of reality. However her power became moot when it came to more powerful individuals like Genji. Initially Tess never thought she'd see someone with a mind as guarded as Genji's. Genji was like the shadows, he only allowed to be seen what he wanted to be seen and nothing more. There were very few that could ever escape Tess's detection. Very few indeed. She knew when Genji arrived here this time he wanted very much to be noticed and very much to pretend to be duped. Why? Tess didn't exactly know. Genji was always the enigma of the group.

'Twilight's better than daylight,' Genji thought to himself as he melded into the trees' shade. A forest was the perfect place to fight. The trees cast long shadows and a tricky setting that only enhanced Genji's powers. If these enemies and their summons were even half good they'd be no match for Genji in a forest. 'Another one of Tess's chores.'

Genji emerged from the shadows on a branch midway up a tall oak. He looked for this morning's opponents. Nothing too interesting. Three summoners with a predilection for gargantuan mastiffs that they used to prey on helpless people and destroy things they were jealous of. Genji heard of these guys from Matsumoto. Band of three men, upper thirties, all have dark hair. They wear leather jackets and each has a spiked dog collar with his name written on it. They were photographed in Barm and did considerable damage to local real estate, and killed about ten people two of which were light users. Their names were Joe, Biff, and Stew. Genji always studdied the known Dark ones list and remembered details of each person on it. Not to say Genji hadn't faced pleanty of unknowns. It just makes things easier if you know something of your opponent before they know something of you. These guys might be a bit of a challenge.

"Better to do this now while its still early before the sun starts to come out," Genji muttered. There was only one of them in his kunai range. Best to start with that. Genji leapt from the tree planning on landing on a limb below. As he descended to a lower branch Genji grabbed two kunais, with perfect poise he landed on the limb launched his kunais at the first in his range, then immediately leapt behind the tree. A muffled gurgle and a thud let Genji know that both his kunais hit home. Out from his coat he grabbed his unsheathed katana Tsuki. "I havn't seen you in.....16 hours," he whispered to the powerful blade.

These men must've let angery and carnal desires get the best of them. They seemed to run on animal instinct as they summoned four eight feet long, five feet from the ground, black hounds that made a rather annoying howl. They followed after their dogs in a hunt for Genji. Moving swiftly from shadow to shadow Genji led them into his perfect trap. A copse that was so thick no light pierced the canopy. The perfect place to take care of the pets and then finish off the masters.

The fools bumbled into the copse and then saw Genji above in the trees. First one yelled out in a growl, "his scent is strange isn't it Biff." Then Biff affirmed with a bark and, "I wonder how his insides taste Stew." Then Stew spoke, "lets just hope our beasts leave some for us." With a howl four beasts leapt from the center of the copse toward Genji.

"Bad move," said Genji calmly and then he concentrated on the shadows and their essence and told them all to rise in sharp ribbons. Suddenly a tangled mess of shadows erupeted from the ground of the Copse and attacked the beasts over and over. They moved like black ribbons over and over through the beasts spraying no blood but causing the beasts considerable injuries. When they made their way to fall Genji told the shadows to absorb some of the strength from the beasts. The sun was rising and Genji could feel his power weakening. However the beasts had replenished him enough to do his most fatal move. Eyeing Biff and Stew, Genji said, "may night give you rest from the turmoil that consumes you." With the wave of his hand a ominous blob of darkness moved along the ground and suddenly what appeared to be a hand reached out and grabbed both and then the shadows enveloped them and cleared. There was no trace of them left.

"May your souls find rest and balance in the world you've been sent to." Genji sheathed Tsuki then stated, "sorry Tsuki they didn't have any surprises I needed you for. Perhaps," but before he could finish a very angry Joe swang a mighty clawed blow at Genji. With a quick duck and a step backward Genji faced his opponent, good thing these guys were as loud as they were stupid. Obviously they were a little stubborn. Joe had a kunai protruding from the base of his neck and another stuck in his chest.

Bleeding profusely Joe snarled, "You'll die for killing my brothers. I'm much faster than they were." Genji knew the sun was still rising and could feel his power wanning. He knew he'd spent a lot of his energy getting rid of Biff and Stew but he had more than enough to beat this loser. He definitely moved faster. It shouldn't pose too much a problem. Carefully he took two steps back and then Joe smiled, "I'm out of reach of your Katana boy, and I'll see your shadows comin' you underestimated me."

Positioning himself in a stance ready to draw Tsuki he waited for the right time. Facing eastward toward the rising sun Genji waited for Joe to make his move. At a startling speed Joe made a lap around to attack Genji from the side. Quickly Genji stepped, faced north, drew and while Joe was coming from the West. Joe fell to pieces, quite literally. "See my shadows coming ne? You forgot to watch out for the inconspicuous shadow Tsuki. The shadow of my blade was animated so that it would slice you like real steel." Gasping for air from only half of his lungs Joe's upper body writhed to get away from this opponent. "Sleep well," Genji said in the most comforting way he could, then Tsuki's blade tasted the blood of Joe.

With that Genji picked up his kunais and with a tear in his eye left Joe there in the forest. He looked back and then said, "I'll tell Tess to burry you. I hope you might find peace in death. All of you." It was time to go and ten minutes later he walked back towards the garden. He wiped the tear, and felt the gentle breeze draft through his silver hair.

Tess was already busy with potting new plants and repotting some others. With a stern face to match Tess's Genji said, "I want you to give him a burial. I would help but you know I can't stand another funeral." Tess nodded, Genji had been that way ever since she'd known him. Nothing hurt him more than the pain and death that surrounded the world. Ambience sat eating breakfast still. Genji hadn't been long by any account. The sun was peeping through the sky. Genji grabbed one of Tess's bamboo hats, put it on, and shrugged, "I forgot to bring a hat." Genji loved dressing somewhat like the powerful and untouchable Itachi. He also felt like an anime geek but hey, everyone needs a comedic relief to lighten the mood. He gave a plastic smile and try and convince his new friends that nothing had happened. "Well I think it's best we get going. How bout you Ambience."

Ambience gave him an annoyed expression. "You said we'd find out something about Muna. Unless I've missed somthing, we haven't even talked about Him." He stood up and moved over to some of the flowers. He ran his hand along the petals of a paticulary large rose. He seemed to zone out for a second then snap back to reality. "Amybe we aren't walking along the same paths after all..." he said quietly. He sighed and turned around. "Sorry to have bothered you like this Tess...I guess we'll be leaveing now...." He turned and headed out to find Damon. When he got to the place where he was sleeping, Ambience shook him awake. "I'm leaveing. If you want to come then let's go." Saying that he headed in the direction that they had come in by.

Damon stared. "Why?" he though. He stood and looked back at the opening before walking slowly after Ambience. He had no dreams- or couldn't remember any dreams from the night before. That was different and unexpected. "Anyways," he said to himself, "HEY, AMBIENCE! WAIT UP!" he called not moving any faster. Fast movement caught his attention to his right. He didn't do anything, but kept an eye out for his surroundings. The forest was thick and no one would dare do a head-on attack. That would be foolish. He could now see their movements. Guerilla Warfare was their only choice in the matter. It seemed to be 5 dark users. Powerful ones, too.

They came in not from above, but from below! That was an unexpected and surprisingly fun move for Damon to dodge. He jumped, and slightly twisted and arched his back to land facing the latter mentioned dark user. "HEY AMBIENCE, WATCH OUT! WE GOT COMPANY!" he yelled, as the dark user revealed his face. It was covered in markings. This one was drawn far worse than Damon had been. The dark user smiled an evil smile.

"You've been on the dark side before, havent you, enfant foncé?"
The dark users body was limp. His arms hung as if weights were chaining him to the ground. His legs shook as if they had been broken. But his eyes, they shone as alive as ever. The red in his eyes moved like fire in an unstoppable circle. He smiled once again and made his first attack.

He ran to Damon and swung loosely at him. Although Damon was quick, he was not quick enough. The arm hit him straight across the mouth. Blood fell from his lips. Damon didn't take to getting hit in the face lightly. He spun on the spot but reared with a punch to the dark users stomach. He fell back with a loud grunt and on the ground started laughing, looking at the burning mark near his right rib cage. "I had no idea... you were a light-user as well! Now this will be a battle to remember!"

He jumped up and landed infront of Damon and drew his sword.
"NO MAGIC. JUST SWORDS!" Damon drew his katana and stood in his stealthy position with his sword tucked with the outer fold of his arm extending from his elbow around 15 inches. He smirked and lunged blocking with his katana and attacking with his dagger. Hit and block was his strategy, and also his opponents. Damon jumped behind his opponent and snarled. His katana flashed into a radiant purple-black glow. He slashed at the dark user but only made him stronger. The dark user grabbed Damon by the neck and lifted him atleast three feet above the ground. "The shadows rule your heart. BRING THEM OUT!" He squeezed, and Damon yelled with all his might before passing out from the pain.

Torture and death and nightmares of decapitated people filled his unconcious mind. Then came the darkness he used to be. It extended a hand... "Come with me Damon, and I shall show you the true power! Forget feelings, join me and WE BOTH SHALL RULE THIS WORLD!"

A light came from Damon's right. It caressed his face and called out to him. "The light in you shines strong, dont let the darkness rule your heart once more... for the sake of the people... join me, and I shall guide you to a path of glory and love! Do you not want that Damon? DAMON?!"

He awoke. An evil smirk upon his face.

Ambience was stunned momentarily by the apprance of the dark users. He wasn't even aware that they were there until one attacked him. It came out of the ground like the other had, knocking Ambi off his feet. He landed hard on the ground and had the wind knocked out of him. He gasped and tried to get his breath back. He could see Damon some ways off fighting someone else. He struggled to his feet and looked around, trying to find his atacker. He didn't have to wait long because a moment later, the dark master was standing behind him with a dagger pressing hard against Ambi's neck.

"Dernier enfant de la lumière....l'obscurité sera votre chute...."(lol...since we're using french...it's very litteral though so...). He was about to finish him off when Ambient used the same move he had used on Damon before. Ambi rolled away and came to his feet, swords drawn. He looked over at Damon and saw a mist of darkness swirling around him as he struggled between Dark and Light. Ambience griped the hilts of his swords in anger. Light began to twist like flames all around him. He ran at the nearest dark user and struck him down in moments, his swords glowing a blinding white. He turned to the next one, and his eyes glowed white. "Stop getting in the way...Nothing will block my path...especially pathetic dark puppets like you..."

He went from enemy to enemy, destroying each until only the one with Damon was left. He was about to rush him too when he froze. The memory of something long past washed over him. He faltered and took a step back. Then he shook himself back to reality and looked back at Damon and the dark user. "Damon! Don't let him force you to walk a road you aren't met for!" Ambience began to run at him but stopped just as quickly. The glow around him suddenly dimmed then disapeared. He stumbled slightly but caught himself before he hit the ground. He still hadn't recovered comepletely from his fight with Damon. He knew he had more power in him but using it might push him over the edge....to much power in any form is dangerous. He leaned against a tree slightly for support. "Not yet...just a little longer...."he thought. He knew he could probably pull of one more attack like before...two at most before he...Ambience pushed aside the thought of death for the moment. He looked back to Damon waiting to see if he really would need two attacks.

Genji was weak now. The sun was already up. Moving the shadows now took 10 times the energy it would've taken him at twilight. Ambi and Damon were struggling and Genji had to do something. If only Genji could figure out how to deal with daylight! Then maybe muna wouldn't have just slaughtered him and his friends. There could be so many people he could've saved. Whatever he was going to do he'd better do it quick. Genji grabbed three of his Kunais and launched them the dark user left. Then Genji grabbed another four from his coat and launched them. He did a little trick though. One looked as if it would go clear over the dark users head, one of the kunais hit the bottom and changed the angle the kunai was traveling to aim straight for the dark users head. Now if the dark user went left, forward, backward, or to his right he'd be pierced. With a cutting noise three kunais hit the hapless dark user. He fell and perished. Unfortunately Genji could already see the battle had taken a lot out of the group.

"Ambience I'm on your side. With regards to Muna, Tess isn't up to that right now. I wouldn't want to pester her for some bad memories I could've told you. Its just not fair to her." Genji sat down painting. 'Damn that sun, I'm about to faint,' Genji thought to himself. "Plus Tess is out of the game so to speak. She hasn't kept any contact with the outside world. She wouldn't be able to tell you many prevalent things," Genji gasped for air as he panted out of breath, "about Muna. For that we'll need to talk to," Genji took another gasp of air, "Snake. I'll tell you more later but," with a gasp of air Genji stood up and almost collapsed, "we've got to keep moving. Weaklings like this like to have a few more to avenge them if they die and we're in no state to fight more of these buffoons."

Damon woke up and gave an evil smirk. Genji only could hope it didn't mean what he thought it would. "Hey Damon you Ok man. You've got to stay strong. Don't lose yourself to erroneous promises of power." Genji waited for a response. He could hardly stand much less take Damon on. He hoped to God Damon hadn't reverted to the dark soulnessness that had claimed him before.

Damon stood suddenly putting his right hand to his chest and clutching so hard blood started to seep between his fingers. He snarled in a deep voice. "Damon is gone for now, I'm his dark side. you may call me Démon." He started to run and them but stopped.
He grabbed his stomach and threw up before lights shot out from the deep holes in his chest. His eyes red, he looked up and arched his knees, bending his back.

"You brought this to me, gods... I'll never forgive you..." he fell backwards, his hands spread out as if to make a snow angel. Damon closed his eyes and said: "Guys... If you kill me now, you wont have to deal with stuff like this again." he began to cry. "Do you know why most dark users become dark? Its because abuse. Relentless abuse.. we keep it all inside... deep inside until we can't take it anymore... we... we need love is all... But... that undying hate will never leave me... We kill because its our only solution to the pain... making other people suffer. Seeing them happy fuels our rage. We envy them--you and every other soul on the planet. Oh god... why is this guilt so hard to bear now? I feel like I'm going to rot inside if I dont let this out..." he began to yell,"WHY DID YOU HATE ME SO MUCH?! WHY?! ALL I DID WAS LOVE YOU BOTH! ALL I WANTED WAS LOVE!! TELL ME WHY!! ALL I WANTED WAS LOVE!!..." he stopped now, and he drifted to sleep again.

The light returned. "Damon... you may have more time to choose, but... It must be soon." Damon nodded and closed his eyes in his subconcious abyss of decisions. He awoke.

Genji didn't know quite what to do. On the one hand killing Damon would be a lot easier. However would that be fair. He could tell the guy's trying. Genji was never too good at ethical delimas, he'd usually take the most strategic route and leave ethics to be supplied by someone else. Unfortianately that someone else was killed by Muna. Genji knew that he couldn't let his emotions rule him, however he couldn't help but want to bring some sort of vengence on him. Genji has been so sick and tired of pain perpetuating more pain. 'I guess violence does beget more violence,' Genji thought to himself.

"Damon I think you should refrain from using your powers for now it seems that they've been taxing you in ways we don't quite want to risk. I'm sorry but I can't really fight Demon (can't add accents) right now." Genji scratched the nape of his neck then smiled, "I think we should meet Snake. He knows a lot about the dark users and their problems. He's the only one I've known to actually come back from the light. I hate to drop by Snake since he tends to always be pissed off about something but I think he's our best resource given the situation." With a nod Genji smiled and then said, "what do you think friends?"

Ambience said nothing and walked over to damon and kneeled by his side. "People say that happiness is seeing the ones you love happy...Even if they're horrible people..." He smiled slightly, his mind floating through memories for a moment. He sighed. "Those you loved....even if they didn't love you....still mean alot to you. I should know...."He laughed and stood up. "Don't work so hard to make yourself feel bad. 'No one loves me' 'I was always abused' blah blah blah. Sure it hurts, but you can't let your past get in the way of your life. If you do...You'll become like everyone else that turns to darkness. Look around you! There ARE people that care about you. Even if you don't think so." He smirked. "Now you can either stay there on the ground feeling bad for yourself, or you can come with us. Your choice." He turned around and walked over to Genji. "Lead the way...."

Next time an anxiety attack occured, he'd be sure to move away from the group. He sighed and jumped to his feet, following Ambi. "Hey, wait up!" He said and ran up behind him. "We goin' or what?"

Genji straightened up trying to make himself look as strong as possible. He took some steps off into the woods then turned around, pointed in the opposite direction. "Its that way." Genji then started walking toward Edo. That’s where Snake liked to do his buisness. Snake was good at what he did. Before Genji talked him into what was right he was pretty much a freelance mercenary. Passion had very little to do with how he worked. Its why he was never quite a dark being just a very profitable one. Genji decided it best to leave as little known about Snake as possible. Snake would probably prefer it that way.

Genji and the group kept walking until it was sunset. Suddenly Genji felt an ominous wind. He looked at the clearing ahead of them and noticed something odd. The shadows all pointed toward the center of the clearing. Genji obviously wasn't doing it so who could be? "Don't tell me.." Genji muttered aloud. "Kikuchu you might as well come out you loser." Suddenly a lone figure emerged from the shadows. He wore black clothing and with long sleeves that overshot his arms and dragged on the ground. His baggy attire made him look a bit clumsy.

"Now now little brother, to what do I owe the pleasure of your visit." Genji gave a hearty smile that he hoped would disarm Kikucho. To no avail though for immediately after he got to the word pleasure Kikucho shouted out,

"The same as always brother. Tonight however is the time you pay for our parents death!"

"How many times do I have to tell you I didn't kill them." Genji had tried to explain but unlike him, Kikucho was much more of a doer than a thinker. Thats why Kikucho always ended up in situations like this. He alwasy tries to lay a poorly done ambush, doesn't think how to catch an enemy at his weakness. If he wasn’t as adapt with his shadow manipulations he would've been killed 100 times over. Genji was on an equal higher level of shadow manipulation and had strategy to boot. It was no surprise that Kikucho's initial assault with a massive shadow attack was easily dispelled by Genji.

"Damn it Kikucho come back later when I'm not so busy we'll play then." With that Genji melded into the shadows, reappeared behind Kikucho, then gave a hard fist to the side of his face. After that a hard kick to his ribs then Genji grabbed the long sleeve and tied it to the other on a tree limb. "Hang out here for now Kikucho. I'll hopefully not be seeing you."

Genji thought of how irritating it was that all his encounters with his obnoxious foolish brother led to him beating Kikuchu sensless and leaving him some place, but then again, Kikuchu didn't leave him much choice with his constant obnoxious hounding. Genji wondered how Ambience would interpret this.

Dark, the once azure sky gloomed with a stifling mourn as the blackness of night engulfed it. Scarcely a few hours after sunset, the sun had already chosen to retire, leaving the view of the earth to it's white counterpart, the moon. Not alone, Luna was accompanied by her entourage of the twinkling jewels of heavens: the stars.

The wind blew steadily, a brisque breeze, not hard, but not too soft as to be undiscernable. Leaves fluttered here and about, scattered, as if it were a metaphor for the lives that humans lead.

But even in a scene of such morbid silence, happiness found a way to prosper. A merry tune, lively and so uplifting that it could've made any sad man want to get up and dance filled the air. Light and airy, the melody of a flute fluttered out, spreading its wings like a butterfly and encompassing the whole of the land.

And with such delight came into view a figure. His hair so long that it crept past his shoulders, one could see that even in the dim glow of the night his hair was shining gold. Even more astoningishly were his eyes, such an unnatural, yet dazzling shade of the lightest blues and reds mixed, lavender. They were alive with mirth, for he was the source of the splendid music.

With a youthful countenance, he wore clothes that matched the unearthliness of his hair. White, and edged with royal blue, he seemed more of an angel rather than a man, given the fact that such sweet sounds poured from his instrument.

He held in his hands a silver flute, its valves and whole form completely esquisite in make and nature, but even they could not rival the skill of which he played. So soothing were his ballads that even the creatures of the night had stopped their restlessness for survival to listen.

However, as it has once been said before, "All good things must come to an end..." and so they did. The youth's lips pursed, taking the flute away from his mouth and into a hand of which he used to slide it back into it's case behind his back. Nonchantedly, he grinned aloud, "Hmm... I guess music doesn't soothe all beasts, does it? Elliot, it sure looks like you've found yourself in quite the quandary, no?". He said this as if to himself, but still that smile stood.

A rustle in the brush answered him moments later, a tribute to the musician's---presumably named Elliot---perception. Barring an awkward silence, a dark mass stood tall, facing the the youth. With it's advantage of suprise lost, it had no need to hide and rushed swiftly toward the seemingly unarmed Elliot.

Feet as svelte as the most skilled of dancers, the blonde musician darted out of the way. He unclasped his cloak, letting the light garment fall from his body before he bent over to the fallen mass of fabric. Attached to it were two scabbards, one white, one black, but both bore the same make and insignia upon them.

Without wasting time, Elliot fluidly removed the contents of the white one. An elegant, saber slid noisilessly out of the sheath, it's an entire blade a translucent white, its hilt curved at an unnatural angle. The guard was a work of it's own, long and etched to seem like the wing of an angel. Truly, it was deserving of it's name, "Seraphim".

And not a moment too sooner the offensive fiend came again, this time crashing from above with hopes of smiting the musician turned swordsman with little effort. Quick as ever however, Elliot rolled away, brandishing his sword with renewed luster.

But it came again, thrusting the sword-like appendage that had replaced its hand towards him. Scarcely able to get away with a quick parry, the blonde had to duck and took the shot he had. Rising upwards with a diagonal cut, he called out his attack, "Overture!".

It cut mildly into its chest but did little to hinder the inhuman thing.

Just as a concert begins with the Overture, so did Elliot's offense. Like a dance, he and the dark creature fought back and forth, parrying and attempting to gain the upper hand. The clatter of impact filled the air, like an actual sword fight.

It wasn't until when his opponet had stepped too deeply did the musician truly gain an opening.

Seizing the chance, Elliot vaulted forward, arcing towards the left but veering right at the last possible moment, setting himself up for a wide open target. His pale white blade swung true, horizontal into the side of the creature, but the routine wasn't finished just then. For with the momentum gained from such a manuever and the bewilderment of his foe, the swordsman was able to pull black his blade, slash once more before thrust forward as a knight would with a lance. "Concerto!" he cried.

Both were successful in their goals, proven as the fiend fell backwards, any signs of whatever little life it had seemingly gone. But the latter had a price tag to come with it. In a display of instinctual survival, the epitome of the dark had countered and pierced Elliot's own side.

Instantaneously, he felt as if a chill had run his down spine as the feeling of liquid fire poured from his body. Falling onto his knees, the musician could only stifle a slight gasp. His lifeblood trickled from his side, a minor wound to any other, but to Elliot this could've as well as been a mortal wound for he feared blood.

Trying to focus, Elliot bit into his lip to resist looking downwards to fill his gaze with scenes of crimson rivers. No, he couldn't freeze up here and now. "Dammit it all... he murmured, closing his lavender eyes in hopes that it'd avert his gaze.

For now he would be in the green... But sooner or later, he was bound to have to open his eyes again and either risk seeing his own blood and locking into a paralytic coma of fear or stay in the mercy of the strange, unforgiving surroundings until he recovered enough.

((Yay! Glad to see you joined Van. I love your writing style, very unique^_^. Oh and sorry for not posting...I kept telling myself to but...ya....anyways back to the rp! ))

Ambi watched Genji knock out his borther. He narrowed his eyes. Almost before he knew what he was doing, he had his gun out, pointing it at Genji. "Do anything like that infront of me again and I swear I'll kill you...."Without giving a reason for his outburst, he returned his gun to its place. With out looking at the others he said, "C'mon....let's go...." He was about to start up again when he heard the sounds of battle so ways a head of them. With out saying anything to the other two, he ran ahead in time to see a blond haired fighter finish the battle. Ambi relaxed since the monster was gone but then he saw the fighter fall. He ran over to Elliot's side but only noticed a small wound on his side. Ambi looked at him slightly confused. "Ah....are you okay?"

((sorry for the short post but...i wasn't really feeling creative....))

Genji stopped. For no reason at all he began thinking of Ambience brandishing a firearm at him. Definately not the first time someone's done it and it probably won't be the last. Genji didn't quite know why Ambience did it. Kikucho was quite the nussence. Not because of how he hunted Genji or his attacks but because he was Genji's brother. He had not entirely turned to darkness and Genji didn't know what to do. Kikucho was the only remaining family member Genji had. Genji just couldn't bring it on himself to do more than incapacitate the kid for a while. So what made it so dispicable to Ambience. What? Then suddenly he realized the group was moving toward the trademark sounds of a battle. Hoping Kikucho would be safe he followed Ambience.

At the site the footsteps in the grass told him much of what happened there. Genji studied the grass and the twigs and the scene and learned much from the stranger without having to hear him. The one dressed in white had a relentlessly fast style that resembled more of a dance than a fight. The two blades working coherently and in a syncranized attack that is indeed something to marvel at. However speed and elegence has its weaknesses as aparent by the gaping wound. There was something odd Genji noticed about the stranger. He would never look anywhere near his wound. It was as if he feared a side of his body. Genji knew that people traveling alone shouldn't get into such prediciments.

Genji's had a philosophy regarding those who wind up in such a prediciment; ensure their survival and treat their injuries but don't be surprised if they're a Trojan horse.

"Um...." Genji started and then out of habbit started scratching the nape of his neck, "we should do something about that nasty gash you got there. You're bleeding a little profusely you see. Also not to mention it but my homicidal brother might wake up and I'd rather not have to fight him again tonight. Not only that but there's this really good resturant in the next town over I'd like to stop by. It serves really good stir fry. I mean they'll make it in front of you any way you like it. Just tell them how much soy sauce and vegtables you want in there and oh their water chestnuts are just to............. ahem...But hey its ultimately up to you guys."

OOC: Glad to know I didn't bore you guys with that huge post >_<.

Darkness made up his gaze, a void where he could see nothing. Relying on his other senses, Elliot was subjegated to the mercy of whatever or whoever passed by. But then again, he did have his eyes closed, that probably hindered his sight significantly.

Minutes passed now, the splotch of wetness on his side was stiff, seemingly dried out, but he swore he could still feel some of it running. Until it was entirely hardened, he couldn't stomach opening his eyes. To see those streams of red again would only drag him back then... The ever viscious cycle of a regrets.

But then, like a stranger in a foreign land, a new world seemed to open to the musician as he heard voices. Not just any voices, but ones that were actually right next to him. Reaching out with one of his hands, his fingers brushed up against the stranger's arm. At once his monotone countenance broke into a wry grin as he felt the warmth of another.

Eyes still closed, but not as tightly or forceful as before, the small grin broke into a serene smile as Elliot pleaded, "Hello there, I hope it wouldn't be intrudeful of me if I were to ask for assistance?... You see, I've this terrible fear of seeing my own blood and I'm sure if I open my eyes now, things wouldn't be so pleasant..."

((Hehe long post are fun! They add much more depth to the story! If I weren't going through my writers block right now, I would try to make my posts better but I just finished writing some plot stuff for my "mangas" and "stories" so D: ))

Ambience smiled slightly happy to see that he was well enough to talk. "I'll help you as best as I can...I don't have any magic to heal you with but I have some more mundane ways to help." He reached into a pouch that he had hanging from a belt and pulled out an artisticly styled bottle. Inside it was a swirling(sp?) blue-white semi-opaque liquid. He move the musician's shirt away from the wound so he could access it better. "Ah...this might hurt a little...but not for long...." He poured a single drop onto his left hand. A blue aura formed around it, pulsing gently. Ambi raised his hand to Elliot's wound trying not to put too much pressure on it. when he removed his hand, the blue light turn slowly to white then dissapeared, taking the wound with it. Ambience let out a sigh and sat down. He looked at Elliot. "You should be okay now, maybe a little stiff but at least the blood's gone. one of my friends made that for me a long time ago(wow...he's really only 15 or so...). It allows me to, for a breif moment, use my powers to heal. Unfortunatly...since my powers aren't usually used to heal, it takes a little bit of life energy as well....which is why I only used one drop. It's almost too powerful if you use more then that...."He smiled again and sttod up, offering his hand to the musician. "My name's Ambience by the way..."

Genji eyed Elliot with his crimson eyes and then said, "Name's Genji. Hey man you really shouldn't travel alone like that if you're getting cut up over one rather unexceptional dark user. There is so much loss in our world and I think that your life isn't something that you want to lose right now."

Ah the night air was certainly pleasant tonight. The breeze blew its own soft symphony for Genji. Cool night air always was refreshing to Genji. He always felt most at place outside in the comfort of the night and moon.

Unfortunately the evening was getting shorter by the moment and this was the most oportune time to travel. Simply put no dark users expect people to wander around at night so anyone with the temerity to travel at night isn’t so closely watched. If noticed they tend to be somewhat feared and left alone. However Genji could not forget the manners he was brought up with.

"Where ya heading Elliot. Being a little stiff when you use a fighting style that relies on fluidity and flexibility is almost a death sentence. Plus a fear of blood leaves you in a sort of precarious position." Genji paused and thought for a moment. "You could travel with us as long as you want. Maybe we'll find a good use for you. As long as you're like this you're pitiful vulnerable from where I'm standing." Genji winced at his last statement. He was never good with tack on statements like that. All well he could only hope that his good intentions wouldn't be misinterpreted.

Genji readied his grip on Tsuki as he heard a noise in the woods nearby. His eyes scanned the darkness that with an even sharper clarity than a normal person would view things in the day. He found the cause of the disturbance in half a second then loosened his grip on Tsuki and gave a sigh of relief. That was one fat raccoon. The need was evident, they needed to keep moving so the local predators slow him down. Muna was the prey this time. He’d pay in full for the lives he’s taken, corrupted, or destroyed. Genji couldn’t let such a powerful dark user remain and every second mattered.

((Righto...well since noone else is posting, I guess I will...I think I'm gonna introduce Muna...and possibly another character as well. Since we have a lack of female characters (well lack regular characters too), I'm going to bring one in...at least temporarely. If anyone has a friend that likes to rp and hasn't joined, tell them too! Rps are alot funner if more people join. We need some more villians, so if you want to make one, just PM me. Oh an I got bored during class so I drew a group picture. I posted it on my deviant account(if you click the thing for my website you'll get there) Go to scraps and its the first picture there. Also, if you look at recent deviantions, the newest picture'll be of Muna so you can get an idea of what he looks like. Anyways back to the Rp. I'll try to make this a good post but I hurt my wrist so I'm kinda typing one handed -_-))

Ambi rolled his eyes and Genji's comment but then smiled and looked around. He thought that it must be getting close to dawn. That would be the best time to travel. Most dark users didn't fight much in the day because their powers were weakend just as the dark creatures were weakend. "well if we're going to go, then we should head out now since--" He was cut off because a large something decided to slam into him. He flew back into the air, only just managing to land somewhat on balance, in a kneeling postion. He staggard to his feet and looked around warily. "What the heck was--" he was cut off once more as the thing came back. Ambi dove to one side to avoid it, rolling up to his feet with both swords drawn. The black mass settled about 10 feet away from the group, shifting into the shadowy form of a huge eagle. From behind it steped a figure. He was dressed in all black, except for a long blue cape like piece of clothing that hung down from his waist. He had short, light lavender hair the was cut off just before his shoulders. He looked over at them with dull black eyes. He smirked as his eyes went from person to person until they stopped an Ambience. "So...this is the best you could do...a wannabe ninja, a reformed dark user, and a bard...i think you were better off alone. That way you wouldn't have to worry about seeing them die first. But no matter...it just means more power for me."

Suddenly, a rare light of sunshine burst through the clouds and fell like a spotlight on all of them, illuminateing the area with a brilliant glow. What would have made Dark creatures die and Dark users cowar did nothing to Muna. Ambi gasped. "Thats...that's impossible...how can you..." Muna laughed a surprisingly young and normal laugh. Do you not wonder why you were called the 'Dernier enfant de la lumière'....you ARE the only one left. I've destroyed the rest and striped them of their powers. With them...I can survive as much light as you can...your powers are useless against me..."

Ambience gripped his swords tighter and spoke without looking at Muna. "Light might be useless against you...but I can fight without it...just as they can." He pointed over at the rest of the group. "They're just as strong if not stronger then me at fighting...even if I can beat you, they will!" Ambi ran at Muna, hoping that he sounld rely on his speed to get the upper hand. He jumped and spun in mid air, using the force of the spin to add power to his attack. Just as the attack was about to hit, Muna slipped gracefully to the side and brought his fist up. The momentum of the jump carried ambi straight into the attack and he was sent flying once more into the air. Before he hit the ground though Muna raised a hand, sending dark tendrils of energy at him. They wraped easily around him and he was held in mid air, unable to move. In only a matter of seconds, Muna had already gotten the upper hand. Aenseing that the others might try to attack, he raise his other hand in their direction. With out even haveing to look at them, more of the dark tendrils formed and wrapped themselves tightly around the others. "After I finish him off...you guys will be next..."

Muna gazed up at Abmi with his blank eyes. "Just think of what will happen without your little light magic...it'll be just like what happened before..."Ambi yelled out in pain as the vines of darkness tightened around him and began to glow a menacing violet. Muna closed his eyes and said "Lumière... venue à mo--" The spell was almost complete but he was interuppeted. At first, it seemed that rain was falling, then the dark shadowy eagle screeched out in what seemed like pain. Almost immediatly after, both of Muna's holding spells dissapated, freeing both Ambience and the others. Muna looks up. "Holy water it seems..." He glaced over his shoulder as he ran back to the screeching bird. "You got off lucky...it seems i still have anoth one of you to kill..." He reached out his hand and touched the bird. they both seemed to fuse together into a shapless dark mass which then shot away into the trees.

"Hah! You owe me again Ambi-kun!" The vaugly feminine voice cut through the depression seen and the rain slowly stopped leaveing a slight mist hanging around the ground. A young woman, about 17 or 18 steped through the mist grinning (I'll post a picture of her later...I don't feel like describing her right now, my hand's starting to hurtT_T). She looked over at Ambience and saw him lieing on the ground, only vaugly concious. She moved quickly over to his side and bent over him for a moment before sitting back up and looking at the others. "He's not too hurt....just totally exausted from over fighting...the stupid idiot..." She lifted him up surprisingly easy before talking to them again. "I'm Alazne by the way. I'm an old friend of Ambience...c'mon..you guys look pretty bad too. We can go to my place, it's just down the road. I'll fix you guys up after I get him taken care of..." She grinned once more and lead the way down the street a short way to a small house that already had smoke coming out of the chimney. He opened the dorr and let them in. She put Ambi down on a bed in one of the other rooms then
