I don't suppose we have very many Xbox fans in the house, though I've come to admire the system. While I don't in fact own it myself, I will soon enough. I'm currently waiting for the inevitable revision, whether that be this year or next. My main reasoning for this is simply because I like what I've been seeing in terms of what's coming for the 360, and with my TV having two HDMI ports, one taken by the PS3, and only one component, in use by the Wii, it'll make it so I don't have to swap out the component each time I want to play the other console.

Anyway, this new Xbox 360, which has been dubbed the "Elite" version is supposed to be black to begin with, have a 120GB HDD (100 more than the current one), HDMI support... all of this for a rumored $479. My one main gripe is that it doesn't include Wi-Fi in the package, well at least not yet. So I'll have to end up purchasing the adapter, which runs a cool $100 more. So in the end, it about evens out to the price of a PS3, which I don't really mind. Aside from that, I'll be getting a 360 sooner or later.

Either way, what are your thoughts on the 360 and this revision? Will you be picking one up, or just sticking with your other consoles? Or perhaps if you already have a 360 are you going to pick up the elite package?

I have never owned an XBox system. My brother and I have thought of getting a 360 however to play some of the exclusive games. Like Blue Dragon or others like non exclusive (DMC4 :D).

I doubt we'll get Elite though. We just need enough to play games. XD

Honestly, that's one of the reasons I wanted to pick up the system, for that Blue Dragon game. Plus, Fable isn't too far behind that. Then of course there is Halo 3, which is bound to be one of the highest profile games published by Microsoft this generation, sadly I've never been into the shooters. But yeah, I'm really surprised by the 360's lineup of games, it actually looks very good.

I was able to play Fable on the computer, with a completely false key (12345678910). XD But with a lot of games now showing up on 360, it has raised my interests.

Get it for Gears of War and Halo 3. But GoW will be ported to the PC this year.

Yeah I haven't played much XBox...mostly cause the only game that I was ever really interested in was Fable. But I wasn't interested enough to buy an Xbox for it. Someone who stayed at my house for a while had an Xbox 360. It kinda sucked for him though cause he bought it here and he lives in England. He doesn't have any adaptors for it so he can't play it (The plugs are different there. I know cause when my family went over there, I couldn't charge my DS cause we didn't bring an adaptor to plug it into-_-;).

You mean wasn't, right? Cause I don't think you have an XBox. You barely got a PS2. >.>;

Fable for PC = Win

Well Microsoft officially announced the revision today. I must say I'm very happy to see a few things, for one, it includes the HDMI cable, I had to buy that seperate with the PS3, then again it was only like $20. Plus DVD upscaling... I guess this will be my dedicated DVD player, and the PS3 be my dedicated Blu-ray player. Any who, here is more official info on the box (http://www.xbox.com/en-US/hardware/x/xbox360elitesystem/default.htm).

Oh yeah, no Wi-Fi either... so I guess I'll have to purchase the adapter, bleh.
