LOST QUEST
Chapter 1 - Welcome to The World
In a field in The World... (this field contains a waterfall and a small pool at the bottom)
*in the pool*
Zyne (Z): Hey, Fianna, Dusk. Do you think we'll always be together like this?
Dusk (D): I dunno...
Fianna (F): Aww, come on guys, of course we'll be together.
Z: Year... *sigh* I guess you're right.
Mysterious Guy: *atop the waterfall* ... *leaves*
*back at the clubhouse*
F: Its kind of hard to imagine we're playing a game.
D: Why? The fact I can kick Zyne over *kicks Zyne over* and he won't feel it, or –
Z: You brat! *gets up and tackles Dusk*
D: *muffled* Or the fact that we look so real?
F: Guys! Stop it!
*they continue fighting*
F: I hate it when you guys do this! *dumps a barrel of water on them*
Z: Agh! I'm all wet!
D: *shoves Zyne over* Hah! I win! *triumphant stance*
Z: *gets up* Yeah, whatever. *goes to dry himself off*
D: So which one? *curious face*
F: Neither!
D: Whaaat?!
F: Its how you two can argue so much and barely know each other!
Z: ... Hey! I got mail!
*reads e-mail*
Z: To the strongest, who claim they are the best, there is a new quest available at the Quest NPC.
F: Who's it from?
Z: Says CC Corp...
D: Well, what are we waiting for?! We're the strongest, right?
F: Um... I guess... *grabs healing potions and gets up*
Z: Come on, let's go! *heads out door*
*at the Quest NPC*
D: We're here about the Quest for the Strongest!!
*gets in front of the NPC's face*
F: Dusk! That's rude! *grabs him*
D: Aww, come on Fia!
Quest NPC: Hold on a minute, please. *goes over to phone* Hello, yes this is the quest shop. There are some adventurers here to accept your quest.
*a man comes*
Man: Hey, how's it going?
Z: Great, you?
Man: Awesome!
F: ... You're a PC (player character)?
Man: Yes.
F: I thought quests were run by system coding...
Man: Oh, that's not true at all! *fake smile*
Z: So what's this quest of yours?
Man: Its simple, go to (Delta) Chosen Solitary White Devil and retrieve the item from the dungeon's final floor.
D: That's easy!
Man: I hope so! *smiles and leaves*
F: I never knew players could accept quests from other players.
D: Who knows, maybe its new and they haven't told anyone yet. The quest was from CC Corp, wasn't it?
F: So that was an adminstrator or employee of CC Corp?
Z: Most likely. There's no sense worrying about it, we already accepted it. Besides, we are the strongest, right?
D: Come on, come on! *drags Fia to the chaos gate*
Z: (Delta) Chosen Solitary White Devil!
*they warp*
End Chapter 1

So far, me and Dusk have created about 15-16 chapters so far, split into 3 volumes (subject to change). We are planning on making this into a .hack doujinshi, featuring Zyne, Dusk, and Fianna, our original characters, and include a few characters from .hack//Roots and .hack//GU. I'll type up some more later. ^^
*This story takes place around .hack//Roots. Whether or not clubhouses still existed, is unknown to me. Chosen Solitary White Devil is the field keywords to where the player fights Skeith for the first time in .hack//Infection.*

Dusk (D): Whoooooooa!!
D: Its barren... -_-
Fianna (F): Why'd you go "Whoooooooa!!" if you're just going to say its barren!
Zyne (Z): *pushes Dusk* Let's just go. T_T
*walking*
D: Are we there yet?
F, Z: No.
D: ... Are we there yet?
F, Z: No.
D: *lightbulb* Are–
F, Z: NO!
D: Oh, so you guys are never gonna kiss? :3
F: What?! *blushes*
Z: What are you talking about?! *blushing*
F: Look over there! There's a Lucky Animal! Go kick it! *points*
D: Where?! *turns and runs toward pointed spot*
Z: Whew...
F: That was close! ^^;
Z: Wait... why did you blush? ._____.
F: Uh... well... um...
*Dusk comes running back*
D: Hah! I totally pwned it!
Z: ...... Okay... good for you...
D: Oh, and I found the dungeon entrance.
F: Really? Then let's go! No point in standing here! *drags Dusk and Zyne along*
*inside the dungeon*
F: (Delta) Chosen Solitary White Devil, huh?
Z: Hmm?
F: Haven't you heard? On the BBS... there are rumors.
D: Rumors? You mean those stories made up by people to purposely spook people? Like "One day, this Adept Rogue went into an event, and he came back all emo." *spooky face*
Z: *stomps on Dusk* Stop being an idiot!
F: *blank face* ...
Z: Huh? What?
F: Oh, nothing! Nothing at all! So uh... let's go! *drags Dusk and Zyne once again*
*skip to the last part of the dungeon*
D: We're finally here! *groans and complains*
Z: Yeah... after 1,000 freaking "Are we there yet?" comments!!
F: *sigh* Let's just get this over with. You guys ready?
D, Z: Yeah!
*enter last area*
*show the Gott statue*
D: Yay!! *runs over to the chest*
Z: *sigh* You're so impatient.
D: *opens chest* Hey! It's empty!
Z: What?
F: Maybe we–
*FLASH*
*Gott statue comes to life*
D: The heck is that?!
Z: Could this be part of the quest?
F: We don't have time to think about that! We have to fight!
*all get into a fighting stance*
*Gott statue jumps at them*
Z: Dodge!!
*they all dodge*
[I]*Z, D, F do a Beast Awakening*
F: I can't believe it! It survived! [I]*le gasp*
*Gott statue swings and hits Fianna*

Zyne (Z): FIANNA!! Dusk! Fianna's injured!
Dusk (D): What?! *worried expression*
Fianna (F): I'm fine. Go Zyne, defeat it, then heal me.
Z: ... *gets up angrilly and jumps at enemy*
[as this is going, Fianna tries speaking out, but something is wrong, and she disappears]
[I]*Gott statue swings and strikes down Zyne*
D: Zyne! *distracted*
*Dusk gets struck down**Gott statue defeats them*
Z: Fianna...! Dusk...!
D: Zyne...! Fianna...!
*they are warped out*
*Zyne appears in a white room with a tablet*
Unknown: "Courage is not enough. Over come the obstacles, break the chains, choose your path."
*Dusk appears in a white room with a tablet*
Unknown: Will you fight on? Do you have the will to continue? Together... or alone..."
*back at root town Mac Anu*
*at the bridge*
Z: ... Why...?!
Phyllo (P): Don't let it get to you.
Z: But it's all my fault! *cries and sinks low while gripping his head / hair*
P: Ah... that reminds me of a young black Adept Rogue.
Z: ! What?
P: He blamed himself too for a similar situation.
Z: ... What did he do?
P: You mean to say "What is he doing?"
Z: Doing?
P: He is still in that situation today. He is walking his own path right now. He is getting stronger.
Z: ... *stares out over river*
P: I have one thing to say. Do not take the same path, it is a hard one, and it is an emotional one.
Z: ... I won't. I'll find my own path.
*Zyne leaves*
Z: Thanks...
*pan out and show Zyne walking away and Tabby walking up to Phyllo*
*Dusk's aftermath*
*at root town sitting by chaos gate*
D: Fia's not answering my mail... neither is Zyne...
*stands up*
D: I'm sure they're okay... Fia probably logged off... and Zyne usually doesn't answer my mail right away... *sigh*
*suddenly switches to being happy*
D: Oooh well! No sense in worrying about it! I better go report the quest...
*goes over to Quest NPC*
D: Hi! I wanna talk to the person who sponsored the quest at (Delta) Chosen Solitary White Devil.
Quest NPC: I have no record of a quest there.
D: What are you TALKING about?! Me and my friends just got back from it! We got the message from some weird guy from CC Corp!
Quest NPC: I'm sorry, but such a quest was never sent out.
D: Ugh! You're so dense!
*stomps off to chaos gate*
D: *yelling over to the QNPC* I'll show you!
*enters keywords*
Message: The field you are trying to access is currently closed. Sorry for any inconvenience we have caused you. – CC Corp
D: You GOTTA be KIDDING me! Stupid CC Corp, what's going on!

Chapter 4
*walks away from chaos gate and notices Zyne on the bridge*
Dusk (D): ZYNEEE!
*runs up to catch up with him*
D: Heeey! Wait up! How come you didn't answer my mail, huh?
Zyne (Z): ... *walks past him*
D: Hey, what's wrong?
Z: Fianna's gone...
D: What do you mean? I thought she just logged off or something. How can someone disappear from The World?
Z: I called her. She's not responding. She lives alone, if she didn't pick up, she's gone.
D: But... how come? Did something happen during the boss battle? I tried getting back to the field but it was closed... and the Quest NPC said that there was never a quest there...
Z: That's ...odd. Are you sure?
D: Yeah! I even yelled at the NPC but he just kept saying that there was never a quest there!
Z: NPCs are programmed, even if you yell, their response doesn't change.
D: Yeah, well... it makes me feel better anyways, what're we gonna do now? We can't go back to the field and look for her... should we send something to CC Corp?
Z: Do what you want, I got my own path to follow.
D: Huh? But we're a team right? We should look for Fia together!
Z: I SAID I got my own path to follow!!!!!
D: *looks all upset* Fine! You're just being a big coward! *glares at him then stomps off*
*Zyne warps to a field adn sits on the grass*
Z: ... Whatever. *looks up in the sky / daydreams* Fianna, where are you?
*at the same time, Dusk does this too in a different field*
*pan to Fianna in a weird field*
Fianna: Zy-zyne.... Du-dusk... *reaches out* *her eyes clothes and her hand drops*

Fianna (F): Why? Why couldn't you save me?
Dusk (D): It's all your fault!
Zyne (Z): I'm sorry!
F: You never cared, did you?
F: You never cared!
D: You were never a friend.
Z: I'm sorry!!! *clutches head* I'm sorry!
Haruka (H): Ah! *gets up from a dream* Fianna! ... It was just a dream... *picks up cellphone and calls Fianna*
Message: We apologize for the inconvenience. This number is not available.
H: *calls her home phone* *phone rings multiple times* ... Fianna... Where are you?
*gets up off the bed and checks e-mail*
*when Zyne checks his e-mail*
H: Dusk keeps sending me mail... *has over 50* *deletes them* *sends Fianna an e-mail*
Message: Sorry, this player name does not exist.
H: What?! What the hell do you mean?! *slams hands down*
H: Grrr...
*logs in*
??: So, what's your decision?
Z: What decision?
??: To join Kestrel. *
Z: Is that you, Bordeaux?
??: How did you know?
Z: How would I not. You PKed me before. I'd recognize that voice anywhere.
Bordeaux (B): Of course. Can't be helped. *smirk*
Z: My decision...
B: ...
Z: I'll join. [Panel: Dramatic Sequence]
[Switch Scene to Dusk]
*sitting at a computer looking at a picture*
Saya (S): Mom... dad... why are you gone...
*flash to Dusk in The World*
D: Hm... Zyne still isn't replying to my mail... I should send more!
*zones out*
??: S'cuse me...
D: ...
??: S'CUSE ME!
D: GAH! *almost falls over*
??: ...
D: *looks over and sees a random newbie* Uh... can I help you?
??: I'm Kazuki. Can you tell me what fields are easy around here?
D: (Delta) Bursting Passed Over Aqua Field
Kazuki: Cool! Thanks! *runs off*
D: *sigh*
??: Hey, you must really know your way around The World.
D: Eh? *turns and sees someone*
??: I'm Kuhn. And you are?
D: Ah... I'm Dusk.
Kuhn (K): Dusk, how long have you been playing The World?
D: Um... about a year I guess.
K: Then would you like to join Canard? Its a guild for helping out newbies like that kid you just met.
D: Uh... sure I guess. [Not like there's much else I can do...]
K: Great! C'mon, I'll introduce you to some of hte other guild members!
*both walk off*
