On Wednesday, the prep star Epiphanny Prince scored 113 points in a game, breaking the national girls’ record of 105 by Hall of Famer Cheryl Miller. Prince did it for Murry Bergtraum High School in a 137-32 romp over Brandeis High School. Prince hit an incredible 54 of 60 shots and had only one free throw.

When Kobe Bryant scored 81 points against the Toronto Raptors on Jan. 22, he rallied his team from an 18-point third-quarter deficit. He needed to score 55 in the second half for his team to win. In this game, it was just a pure blow-out.

The coach of her team pulled out all the starters except for her, and still had were pressing even though they were ahead by 50+ points. I think that this game was horrible, and Prince's coach is to blame. This is high school basketball, and scoring that much is just rubbing it in.

Do you think the 113-point game was bad sportsmanship?

yeah, that's poor sportsmanship all right. there's too much of that in sports nowadays, that's one of the reasons I simply don't watch sports much at all, except for the OSU vs MICH football game.

I don't really listen to sports news much, but when you showed me the article, I kinda laughed. Though I think it is poor sportsmanship, it was too much rubbing in.

Most high school games don't even go to 113 points, much less half of that. The beating that team gave was totally uncalled for and must have made the other team feel utterly humiliated, which wasn't a smart thing to do, nor was it nice.
