Metal Gear Series

I must start off by saying I've never really been into the Metal Gear series. Though after receiving my beta invite for Metal Gear Online, I figured I might give the game a shot. Though I've been downloading all there damn updates for the past couple days, and have yet to play it yet, then again this is beside my point. I wanted to get everyones take on this series, love it, hate it, what's your take?

I never personally played through an entire game. I have the second one on PS2. But I never played it, my brother got stuck on the first boss. xD But it looks fun.
