I was thinking about this the other day, but how many of you still own some VHS tapes, or still have a VCR for that matter?
I was thinking of this mainly because a friend of mine had literally hundreds of VHS tapes, and he told me he threw them all away, primarily because he had replaced them all with DVD's, and a few Blu-ray movies. Though when he said he threw them all away, that just amazed me, I mean someone putting all that money into something at the time, and just now throwing it away. I guess because they've completely lost their value, but still.
My family current owns about 300 or so VHS tapes, probably about 50 of those are family related; ie. Reunions, school plays, ect... We own about 150 or so DVD's, and I think there are only a handful of those that are the same. So yeah, I still got them VHS tapes, and VCR to boot. I also don't think we'll be getting rid of them anytime soon. Though we may end up taking some of the family stuff and transferring that to DVD.
