I am considering purchasing a PSP. However I heard its expensive, first the hand held console costs $250 CAD, then $150 CAD for a memory stick? How much do games cost? I am thinking about really buying it, or an Ipod Nano.

Well, do you have a reason you want to buy it? Cause if you have something else that you can get for cheaper, then you might as well go cheaper. And wait til PSP's price drops, which is what I'm doing.

Honestly I'd just skip it all together, but it really depends on what you intend to use it for. Also the PSP's game library isn't quite the greatest at the moment, though I do envy that it is getting Valkyrie Profile: Lenneth, even though I already have the game. So if you want to watch movies, generally with fewer features than their DVD counterparts, listen to music on your expensive memory card and play all the greatest PSP games from a year ago, then by all means go for it. :p But really, it does have its good points, though if you are looking for a solid gaming machine, I'd suggest the DS.

Also, games cost anywhere from $49.99 - $39.99. A little too much for my tastes. Or you can do as Seraphy said and just wait for a price drop, which should be coming any day now.

I'd reccomend it to hell.

I love my PSP honestly it is just awesome, music, movies, pictures, internet and of course games!
What more could you want? You could get a cheaper memory stick by the way.
And for the record if your going to get a iPod don't get the nano.
But I recomend the PSP greatly I think it's just wonderful!

Great for porn too :-)

If it's a choice between an iPod Nano and a PSP, definitely go for the PSP. Not only can you listen to music, but you can play games as well :D .

iPod nano's can break so easily aswell, one little mistake and it's $400 down the drain.

It has never crossed my mind to buy one. I've always stuck to playing games on my TV where I believe they belong.
